Sidney Wolf: Who was he? Ex-Cuomo employee killed by passing car after being ejected from Lyft on highway
After an altercation, the Lyft driver asked Wolf and his five friends to exit the vehicle.

An angry Lyft driver threw a former Andrew Cuomo employee out of the car in the middle of a Delaware highway, where he was run over by a passing car.

Sidney Wolf was struck and murdered on Route 1 of the Coastal Highway at roughly 1:44 am on Sunday after the driver gave Wolf and five of his friends the signal to get out of the car, according to the Delaware State Police. After an unidentified confrontation with the passengers, the Lyft driver had to halt the car.

The 23-year-old University of Utah student went missing last week after taking a Lyft from the airport, and his friends and family are pleading for information.

Wolf had just exited the back seat and was standing on the road when the driver of a Toyota Corolla behind the Lyft changed lanes in an effort to avoid the stopped car.

The remaining five passengers weren’t hurt. The Toyota’s occupant remained at the scene while the Lyft driver escaped and is still at large. In order to transport the six passengers to Bethany Beach, the former picked them up in Dewey Beach. According to police, the crash happened south of Anchor Way.

To FOX 5, a spokesperson of Lyft stated “We are devastated by what happened. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family at this extremely trying time, and we have reached out to the ride requester to show our support. We are in touch with law police and will do everything we can to help them.”

Wolf served as the senior policy advisor to Governor Andrew Cuomo. “I was shocked and heartbroken to hear this dreadful news. Sid was an outstanding member of the government who tirelessly worked for the welfare of all New Yorkers. My heart breaks for Lindsey and his two little girls “Tweets from Cuomo.

Wolf was a married father of two kids and a junior hockey coach, according to FOX 5. The family of Wolf stated in a statement, “Our family is going through a very difficult period right now. As we continue to grieve, the level of shock and agony we are currently experiencing cannot be measured. We sincerely appreciate all of the love and support that we have received, and while we proceed through this process, we politely ask that the family’s privacy be observed.”
