Upcoming Orleans, Louisiana, served as the setting for the filming of the new AMC series Mayfair Witches
Beginning in September 2022 marked the end of production for the first season of the television series.
The well-known novel trilogy Lives of the Mayfair Witches by American author Anne Rice was recently adapted into a television series by the same name.
Alexandra Daddario, Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, and Jack Huston are the main cast members of the supernatural thriller television series.
The series becomes the second series based on the author’s Immortal Universe, joining the other newest adaptation of Anne’s book in the network, which is Interview with the Vampire.
It intends to concentrate on the very first book in the series, which is titled The Witching Hour.
Rowan Fielding, played by Alexandra Daddario, is the protagonist of this show. She is a neurosurgeon who discovers that she is the improbable heir and descendant of a powerful family of witches. Now, she is forced to confront a malevolent entity that has been tormenting her family for generations.
Michelle Ashford and Esta Spalding are the brains behind the suspenseful television show, and Spalding also works as an executive producer on the show with Rice (in his posthumous form), Mark Johnson, and Christopher Rice.
There will be a total of eight episodes included in the first season.

AMC’s Mayfair Witches: Filming Location
The new television series Mayfair Witches, which airs on AMC, was shot in New Orleans.
The upcoming television series Mayfair Witches on AMC was filmed in Louisiana’s New Orleans. Prytania Street serves as the major location for filming the Mayfair Witches series.
The famous author Anne Rice was born and raised in New Orleans. The author’s antebellum estate, upon which the events of the first novel, “The Witching Hour,” are based, can be found in this city as well.
Esta Spalding, who was in charge of running the show, revealed that filming for the first season was completed in the early part of September 2022.
Deadline reported in December 2021 that AMC had awarded an eight-episode series order to another Anne horror and vampire series, Interview with the Vampire, which was already in production at the network.
The rights to Anne’s works were purchased by AMC Networks in the year 2020. These rights covered a total of 18 titles, such as the new show and the Vampire Chronicles series.
Mark Johnson, who was also under contract with AMC Studios, served as the show’s producer.
In April of 2022, production on the fantasy drama series officially got under way. On Monday, April 25, the production kicked off, and it was scheduled to wrap up on August 22.

AMC’s Mayfair Witches: More Details
The premiere of Rice’s Mayfair Witches is set to take place on AMC and AMC+ on the first Sunday in January of 2023.
It had been previously announced that the viewers would be able to watch the suspense series on January 5, 2023, but the premiere date has since been moved.
It is planned that the first season would consist of a total of eight episodes, with the first two episodes being made available to watch on the day of the debut, which is January 8th.
The remaining episodes will always air on the same day of the week, and the series will conclude with the final episode on February 19, 2023.

This seems to be following the books, at least up to this point. The Mayfair Witches tale began in the 1990s with the publication of the book titled “The Witching Hour.”
The main character of the book was a neurosurgeon by the name of Rowan Mayfair. She came to the realization that she was the newest designate in a family of powerful witches in New Orleans. These witches congregate and frequently exert their influence over a potent spirit named Lasher.

- She has had recurring roles on a number of television shows, including White Collar, Parenthood, and American Horror Story: Hotel, in addition to starring in the series Why Women Kill, in which she played the main part.

AMC’s Mayfair Witches: Release Date
On the basis of a few images that were just recently made public and very little other information, one might be able to make an educated guess.
The average reader of The Witching Hour will notice that Ciprien, like the character Aaron Lightner, wears clothes that exude an air of sophistication.
However, a closer inspection of the picture reveals that he is also wearing gloves. This is an essential piece of information regarding the plot of the novel as well as a clue regarding the identity of Ciprien Grieve.
It’s possible that he’s a cross between Curry and Lightner, which would give the TV program an exciting new turn in the plot.
The enigmatic Mayfair Manor, which serves as the residence of the Mayfair witches and plays a significant role in the narrative, will be the last character from the book to be brought to life when it is adapted for the big screen.
The way in which this will be adapted for the big screen is a mystery to everyone, but admirers of Rice will undoubtedly be excited to watch it.
