National Treasure: Edge of History: Plot
The intelligent treasure hunter Benjamin Franklin Gates is played by Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage. Gates comes from a family of treasure hunters.
Gates has spent his entire life looking for a treasure that no one believes exists: one that has been amassed over the course of time and carried across continents to become the most valuable treasure the history of the world has ever seen.
Our nation’s Founding Fathers hid the treasure, but also left hints as to where it might be found everywhere about us, including our nation’s birthplace, our nation’s capital, and even clues hidden within the emblems on the dollar note.
The culmination of Gates’ lifelong effort is the discovery of a map tucked away on the reverse side of the Declaration of Independence. No one had ever looked there before.
But the piece of information that he believed to be the last clue was actually just the beginning.
Gates realizes that in order to protect the world’s greatest treasure, he must now do the unthinkable: steal the most revered and best guarded document in American history before it falls into the wrong hands.
This realization comes as word of the invisible map spreads among those who oppose freedom.
In a race against time, Gates must avoid being caught by the FBI, keep one step ahead of his merciless foe (played by Sean Bean), understand the remaining clues, and solve the 2,000-year-old mystery that surrounds our most valuable national asset.
National Treasure: Edge of History: Cast
It is quite unlikely that star Nicolas Cage will return to his part in the series given that it will feature a younger cast. It’s possible that he was too preoccupied with the crushing burden of his enormous gift for him to participate in the series.
Although Cage will not be appearing in National Treasure: Edge of History, we do have some information on the new cast members.
Lisette Alexis, a young actress, will take on the role of Jess Morales, the resourceful protagonist of the series. Catherine Zeta-Jones, playing the role of Billie Pearce, appears alongside Alexis.

National Treasure: Edge of History: Release Date
Although production on the series began in February 2022, there is not yet a specific date for when the series will be made available to the public.
It is feasible to anticipate that the premiere date will be sometime in late 2022 or early 2023 given the normal amount of time it takes to transition from production to post-production.
Disney+ may delay the release of the series in order to tie it in with the upcoming blockbuster, but this will depend on the progress of the third film.
