Everett (Kyle Dean Massey) has been hit even more by the passing of Mrs. Marley since returning to his hometown of Belleville.
When his friend Ricky (Roberto Aguire) comes over to tell him the devastating news, he is decorating her old house for Christmas all by himself.
The house is going to be auctioned to a land developer unless Everett can come up with $200,000 in order to buy it back.
Everett is resolute in his pursuit of Mrs. Marley’s buried fortune since the place he spent his boyhood is in danger of being transformed into a ski resort.
And then there’s Austin, who plans to invest some of that money in establishing his… partnership?… company, and he wants to do it as quickly as possible.
Will there be enough money to fund all of these dreams, or will this treasure quest prevent Austin and Everett from giving in to the feelings that they have for one another?

A Christmas to Treasure: Plot
A Group of Old Friends Getting Back Together to Go on an Adventure? There are clear undertones reminiscent of both The Umbrella Academy and It: Chapter Two here (which is fitting since Frey was in It).
But don’t expect anything spooky to take place here; this reunion is more like a millennial version of Big Chill, only it’s a family-friendly TV movie and it’s set over the holiday season.
Worth Watching Performance: Katie Walder gets a scene that has to be an actor’s dream and nightmare: it’s one of those fast-talking, thinking-on-your-feet, and bluffing your way out of a high-pressure scenario scenes — you know, like the post-its speech in Romy & Michele or the entirety of Erin Brockovich.
It must be a chore to commit those to memory, but they look like a lot of fun to play. They are undeniably entertaining to observe, and Walder ensures that the occasion will not be forgotten.
A Christmas to Treasure: Tipper
The opening scenario, in which Austin and Tipper are presenting to a group of influencer publicists, is a perfect example of the insanity that can be found in Entertainment 720 Mad Libs.
When asked, “What brands do you carry?” the duo gives the following response:
“Each and every brand. You can just hand that responsibility up to us. You bring us your most important influencer clients, and we will connect you with the companies.
“What do you say we begin with the wardrobe? Everything that everyone else in attendance is wearing, including boots, heels, and cocktail attire? Branded. What about the champagne, the wine, and even our brightly coloured cupcakes?
“All brands. Tipper, don’t forget to mention to them what goodies are included in the goodie bags.
Everything from purses and watches to beauty goods and even food for dogs is branded.
I believe that I could watch Austin and Tipper in pitch sessions for a full hour without becoming bored.
One Last Christmas Treasure Hunt: The plot of the entire film revolves around one last Christmas treasure hunt, exactly like Mrs. Marley used to do every year for the children in the neighbourhood when it was the holiday season. Additionally, the Marleys organised a yearly Sugar Cane Carnival, during which time the six pals attended dressed as various types of candy canes.

Does the Title Make Any Sense? : Considering that this isn’t just a hunt for buried riches, but also the first holiday in a while that some of these characters have genuinely treasured.
Does the title make any sense? Absolutely, this is a Christmas to remember and savour forever.
Our Opinion: If it isn’t already clear, A Christmas to Treasure is a movie that covers a lot of ground.
These types of movies typically don’t have as large of a lead cast as this one does, and the plot is even more ambitious.
It might not seem like a lot to ask for your entire attention for a movie like this one, but let’s face it: most of us watch Christmas comedies while multitasking other activities like cooking, wrapping gifts, or decorating the house.
Just so you are aware, there are two different characters in this film named Michelle, and there is also a character named Rochelle.
You shouldn’t get them mixed up as I did for the first couple of acts of the film.
“The passing of cherished Ms. Marley brings together six long-lost friends for one last holiday treasure hunt in their hometown.”
Sparks ignite between Austin Craig (Taylor Frey), played by Taylor Frey, and Everett Matthews, who was formerly his best friend, as the search progresses and as happy childhood memories are relived (Kyle Dean Massey).
The gang discovers the hidden wealth before the city gets the opportunity to turn the Marley house into a holiday resort; nevertheless, the blooming holiday romance between Austin and Everett may turn out to be the greatest Christmastime treasure of all.
