On Tuesday, the next episode of Welcome to Plathville Season 4 will be broadcast on TLC, but it will be airing at a different hour than usual. The duration of Episode 12 will be a full two hours, beginning at 9:00 PM Eastern Time.
In the prior episode, it was seen that Olivia was approaching Barry about arranging a family get-together that would not include Kim. The news that Ethan and his wife Olivia’s parents, Kim and Barry, had separated came as the final blow to the Plath family.
Prior to that time, the young couple had virtually little interaction with either of their sets of parents due to a variety of reasons. When Olivia finds out that Kim will be attending the funeral of Joshua along with the rest of the family in the next episode, she will immediately go into a state of fear.

“The Plath children all assemble to the farm to celebrate Joshua, but tensions rapidly escalate when Olivia learns Kim is involved in the visit to the gravesite. Moriah’s displeasure with Olivia grows, and a request from Ethan surprises Kim.”

At 11.00 PM (Eastern Standard Time), the conclusion of the episode that lasted for a total of two hours will be presented. It is a reference to the feelings Moriah has toward Olivia after the latter stated that Kim will be present during a family meeting at Joshua’s graveyard. Moriah’s feelings toward Olivia are a direct result of Olivia’s revelation.
Joshua was Kim and Barry’s son; he passed away a long time ago, in case anyone was ignorant of this fact. In the next segment, the family will commemorate his birthday by paying a visit to his gravesite. In the prior episode, Olivia revealed to Ethan’s siblings that the gathering would consist of everyone present—with the exception of Kim. Moriah did not agree with the choice at the time since she felt that it was insensitive to bar Joshua’s mother from participating in activities of this nature.
As a result, the siblings came to the conclusion that Kim should be invited, and Moriah informed Olivia of this decision. The latter was seen looking upset in the preview film, and she claimed that after finding out that Kim was coming, she fell into a state of panic.
It would appear that she was apprehensive that being in the presence of Kim could bring up memories of previous traumatic experiences. In a confessional, Olivia said:
“This has completely thrown me off because the last time I checked, I was under the impression that it would only be the children. And I am not yet ready to cope with that by seeing Kim, talking to Kim, or any of those things.”
She continued by saying that she wished she could escape the predicament she was in. Moriah, on the other hand, was under the impression that Olivia’s response was unsatisfactory. She had the impression that the latter didn’t give any consideration to the feelings of anyone else in front of her, which was particularly concerning on a day that was so significant for the Plath family.
In a second sneak peek clip, Moriah discusses Olivia’s behavior in a confessional and says:
“As of today, I can finally say that I have exhausted all of my coping mechanisms for dealing with all of this drama. I am so done, I am so over it. Simply put, I am sick of having relationships that are so fragile. If you have to constantly walk on eggshells around somebody else’s feelings, if you spent three to four years of your life trying to make that person happy, and then you make one decision that doesn’t make him happy and affects your whole relationship, then it’s time to reevaluate the state of your relationship. That’s not a real friend, is it?”
