Thor: Love & Thunder’s DOP (Director of Photography), Barry Baz Idoine, discussed how challenging it was to shoot the sequence in which Thor bares his butt in a recent interview with Screenrant. “Shooting Chris Hemsworth’s butt is really difficult. Everyone is looking at their butt instead of what they should be doing, nobody concentrates, and nobody completes their tasks. That was difficult.”
Famous director Taika Waititi discussed filming the specific sequence with Chris Hemsworth in “Thor: Love & Thunder” in an earlier interview with Comicbook.com. He stated: “From a very young age, we all knew we wanted to do it. Actually, Chris was on board and it was in the initial draught of the script. You know, I think Chris would understand if he were in your body, too. Not displaying it would be unfair and wasteful. A crime against humanity would be committed. Therefore, you must provide provisions for the whole populace.”
Chris Hemsworth revealed details about filming this specific scene in a recent interview with Variety, which was conducted on Thursday at the red carpet premiere of “Thor: Love & Thunder.” “In Rush many years ago, I had my butt kicked in, but in a Marvel movie, the screen was enormous and the cheeks were enormous. I’ve seen it before, so I’m not sure. Whatever.”
“That scene was a dream of mine and took ten years to create. I removed my shirt before performing as Thor for the first time because I knew it would make the role more enjoyable. It will all fall apart in ten years, he continued.
