Norm Nixon says that Haywood cut his foreskin with the help of a rock and a razor when he was young.

After he realises what’s going on, Haywood boldly says that the story is true and shows off his member to everyone in the dressing room. “I grabbed it, I held it down like a copperhead snake, and I did what I had to do,” Haywood says in front of his team.

In his autobiography, Spencer Haywood: The Rise, the Fall, the Recovery, he says that when he was a child, he circumcised himself. It was his brother who convinced Haywood to cut off his own foreskin to avoid going crazy. Thus, Haywood cut himself in half. However, it isn’t clear if Haywood talked about the feat in the locker room of the Los Angeles Lakers.
