Antron Brown is an American drag racer who drives the Matco Tools Top Fuel dragster for AB Motorsports in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series.
Brown is best known for winning the 2012, 2015, and 2016 Top Fuel championships. Antron is the first African American to win a sport’s championship. Brown won 16 motorcycle races, and in 2001 and 2006, he came in second in terms of points.

The Brown family has been racing for more than four generations
Antron Brown’s grandfather was the first to start the drag-racing gene in the Brown family. His grandmother Dolores, who goes to many races, helped him do this.
Later, NHRA Racer’s father, Albert, followed in his grandfather’s footsteps and became a race car driver. He cleaned out septic tanks and also raced in sportsman drags. Antron grew up in Englishtown, New Jersey, where he watched his father and his uncle, Andre Brown, race at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park.
After seeing his father and uncle race, he wanted to try it himself. So, he started racing motorcycles when he was six, and when he was twelve, he started motocross and practiced on a track he built on the farm. As a senior in high school, he took part in his first real drag race.
In the same way, Antron’s 13-year-old son, Anson, is the fourth generation of the Brown family to drag race. His other daughter, Arianna, and son, Adler, have also done what he did.
Brown has said that his kids have done well in Junior Dragsters from an early age and have learned important lessons from it. His son Anson won the Midwest Junior Dragster championship the year before. Now, the NHRA Summernationals will feature three generations of the Brown family.

Biography
He was born in Chesterfield, New Jersey, USA, on March 1, 1976. As of the 2010 US Census, there were 7,699 people living in Chesterfield.
Albert, his father, was a sportsman-level drag racer and ran a septic tank service.
Until he was six years old, he lived in Trenton, New Jersey. His family moved to a 10-acre farm in Chesterfield Township after his grandfather died.
Northern Burlington County Regional High School was where Antron went to school. Brown’s first drag race was when he was in high school.
He raced in the NHRA’s Pro Stock Motorcycle division from 1998 to 2007. Brown ran for Vincent’s Team 23 Racing for the first three years.
After his first big victory in a car race, he said:
“I’m just happy we were able to win it for Don Schumacher Racing.”
“To win the world championship in Top Fuel this year, when the competition was so tough, and to run and race as well as we have all season is just amazing.”
In August 2015, Antron was the first driver to finish a run in less than four seconds. At Brainerd, Minnesota, this time became a national record.
He had one of his worst drag racing seasons ever in 2018. Statistics show that Brown only managed to win once.
Billie Jo Brown is married to Antron Brown. They met in Gainesville, Florida, in 1998, at Antron’s first Pro Stock Motorcycle race.

Antron and his Don Schumacher Racing Matco Tools/U.S. Army Top Fuel dragster team have always liked to stop at Gateway Motorsports Park. He has won the last three Top Fuel races and four races overall at Gateway.
Gateway Motorsports Park, which is now called World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway, is an auto racing track in Madison, Illinois. A National Hot Rod Association event is held there every year. Antron said the following about this track:
“It’s the crowd, the atmosphere, and everything else. It has one of the best racing surfaces in the country.
“When you put together the great weather, the great people, and the time of year we run, our team does well in that kind of environment.”
In the motorcycle division, he won sixteen races. Also, Antron’s best finish in terms of points was second in both 2001 and 2006. But in 2008, Brown stopped racing motorcycles and started racing Top Fuel dragsters.
