Mr. Harrigan was a good friend of Craig’s, but he was also an absolutely ruthless businessman, the kind of person who knew how to prevent other people from taking advantage of him. Therefore, despite the fact that it is buried very deeply underground, Craig calls Mr. Harrigan’s phone in order to leave a message, and then… strange things begin to happen. After some time, he begins to receive peculiar texts from Mr. Harrigan’s number, and eventually, the things he prays for from his deceased friend begin to materialise in some way, shape, or form. A shadowy hand is responsible for meting out the harshest of punishments. As the plot develops, this continues to play out in increasingly disturbing ways.

The author, Stephen King, has given his blessing to the adaptation of Mr. Harrigan’s Phone that will be available on Netflix. On his Twitter account, he praised the movie as “absolutely nothing short of brilliant.” The fact that King has not always taken well to other people’s interpretations of his work makes the author’s praise all the more meaningful. The majority of the reasons for King’s disapproval of works that were adapted from his works were due to the fact that these works deviated too significantly from the original.
