Shigeo Kageyama, a typical middle schooler, is known by the moniker Mob (, Mobu, wasei eigo for “background character”) because he lacks presence. He may appear unremarkable, but he is a strong esper with incredible psychic ability. He continually lives under an emotional restraint in order to maintain control of this power. Mob assists con artist and self-declared spirit medium Reigen Arataka as he learns how to handle his gifts. Mob wants to have a normal life like people around him, but he is constantly being pursued by problems. Mob’s power threatens to exceed its bounds as his repressed emotions gradually begin to build inside him as he finally comes into contact with other espers like the Claws.
From November 16, 2012, until July 19, 2018, Shogakukan published sixteen separate tankbon volumes that contained the chapters.
The series’ license for English serialization in North America was announced by Dark Horse Comics on April 23, 2018, and the first volume was made available on October 24.

On September 25, 2019, Crunchyroll began offering a worldwide (aside from Asia) simultaneous stream of the OVA episode.

Third Season of Mob Psycho 100
The season is being directed by Takahiro Hasui, with Yuzuru Tachikawa acting as chief director. Roles from the main cast and the staff are being reprised. On October 6, 2022, Mob Psycho 100 III made its debut. Mob Choir performs both the opening song, “1,” and the closing theme, “Cobalt.”
Due to the decision to switch the dub production to in-person recording sessions at their Dallas studio, rather than remote recordings, after relying primarily on the latter at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Crunchyroll was chosen to produce the third season’s simuldub, with some roles being recast.
The Mob voice actor, Kyle McCarley, said that he would probably not be returning the part because Crunchyroll had refused to discuss a prospective union contract with McCarley’s union, SAG-AFTRA, for future anime dubbing productions. McCarley volunteered to work non-union on season 3 in exchange for Crunchyroll talking to SAG-AFTRA, but since this did not happen, McCarley is probably not coming back. On social media, this information resulted in harsh criticism of Crunchyroll.
