How to Check IBPS PO Result

The IBPS PO result can only be accessed on the official website of IBPS through some simple steps. We have put down the steps for easy understanding of the candidates:

Step 1: First you have to reach the official website of IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) which is https://ibps.in/

Step 2: You can find the recent notifications on the top part of the screen. The announcement for the result of IBPS PO Exam can also be found here.

Step 3: You will be redirected to the ‘Credentials’ Page, where you need to log-in using your Registration Number/Examination Roll Number and your password.

Step 4: Once you enter the correct credentials of yourself, the result will be published in front of you. You can also print the result for future usage.

IBPS PO Exam 2020 timeline

According to the official notification published by IBPS, the Preliminary examination for PO will be held between 3rd October and 11th October 2020. The results for the prelims examination should be published within the month of November 2020. Once the result of the prelims exam is uploaded on the website, the successful candidates will have to appear for the IBPS PO Mains exam which is scheduled to be held on 28th November 2020.

Syllabus of IBPS PO Exam

The IBPS PO Exam is divided broadly into three segments: The Preliminary Exam, the Mains Exam and the Interview Session. The Preliminary Exam includes three parts: English language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability, with full marks of 100. Candidates can qualify to the mains only after securing the cut-off marks in the prelims.

The mains exam is a tougher section with 225 marks, where there are four objective type papers (Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General Knowledge/Indian Economy and Banking and English Language and Data Analysis and Interpretation) and one description-based paper (English Language). Once the candidates pass this exam, they will be called for a final interview.

The interview session is also measured on 100 marks, with minimum qualifying marks of 40% to the General Candidates and 35% to others. However, the marks obtained by a candidate would never be disclosed, even if they are qualified after the interview. After success in the interview, the candidates would be allotted banks according to availability and preference.

IBPS PO Exam 2019-2020

To get an idea of the exam, you should know the timeline and the cut-off marks for the IBPS PO Exam in 2019. The IBPS PO Preliminary Exam is generally held in the month of October every year. In 2019, the preliminary exam was held between October 12 and October 20. The result for the prelims was published on 1st November of the same year.

There were as many as 4332 vacancies for Probationary officer post in IBPS in 2019. It has been drastically reduced to 1417 posts this year.
