Gina Carano’s Weight Gain Journey

Gina, who did so in 2009 for Strikeforce, is one of the few female fighters to have held the title of a significant MMA event.

Her decision to give up the ring had a negative impact on her everyday life as well as her professional career.

Carano must follow strict training plans in order to build her muscles, abs, and biceps as an MMA fighter. She did seem to go to the gym less frequently after working in the media, though.

Perhaps it was also because Gina had to perform without the benefit of her muscular physique when she was acting.

The crowd is now starting to notice that the former MMA fighter has put on weight, and they are talking a lot about it.

Weight gain has greatly altered Gina’s physical appearance. She has been picked out and criticized on every social media platform, despite the fact that she is happy with her weight increase and physical attractiveness.

Carano maintains her stunning appearance, and her admirers enjoy her bubbly demeanor.

Gina Underwent Plastic Surgery

On the internet, stories about Gina Carano’s plastic surgery and modifications are frequently shared. This demonstrates how many individuals do not think she has a natural body.

The actress never speaks candidly about this subject, making it challenging to ascertain the truth. The changes to Carano’s chest region, though, make it clear what has happened.

Despite being in great physical condition, the former MMA fighter was not quite satisfied.

Gina Carano: Who Is She?

Gina Joy Carano, an American actress and former mixed martial artist, was born on April 16, 1982. From 2006 to 2009, she competed in EliteXC and Strikeforce, compiling a 7-1 record.  She was dubbed the “face of women’s MMA” because to her popularity, however Carano disagreed with the moniker. During their 2009 Strikeforce match, she and Cris Cyborg became the first female MMA stars. After suffering her first professional MMA loss to Cyborg, Carano gave up competing.

Carano made the transition from the ring to the screen in 2011, when she played the lead in the action movie Haywire. She then made appearances in Fast & Furious 6 (2013) and Deadpool (2016). In the first two seasons of the Disney+ space Western series The Mandalorian from 2019 to 2020, Carano also played Cara Dune. Following several divisive comments she made on social media, Lucasfilm declared in 2021 that Carano will not be included in any upcoming Star Wars content.

Early Years of Gina Carano

Carano, the daughter of casino executive and former professional football player Glenn Carano and Dana Joy Cason, was born in Dallas County, Texas, and reared in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She is one of three sisters, the middle child. When her parents separated when Gina was seven years old, she was raised by her mother. Despite having only a “small fraction of Italian” ancestry, she has stated that her family holds “an Italian celebration” annually.

The girls’ basketball team she coached at Trinity Christian High School in Las Vegas won the state championship before Carano graduated. She also participated in softball and volleyball. She majored in psychology while studying for three years at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas after spending a year at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Gina Carano’s Career in Mixed Martial Arts

Muay Thai was where Carano began her professional career. She became involved because of her ex-boyfriend Kevin Ross, a professional Muay Thai fighter. After amassing a 12-1-1 Muay Thai record, Carano was approached by Jamie Levine with an opportunity to compete in the first-ever female MMA match in Nevada with World Extreme Fighting against Leiticia Pestova (a bout Carano won in 38 seconds). She received a bout against Rosi Sexton at the World Pro Fighting event in Las Vegas. Late in the second round, Carano submitted Sexton to win the fight.

Kobold initially set out to clinch Carano and continued to work on the takedown the entire time. In the second round, Kobold was able to get a takedown, but the fight was over before she could use it effectively. When the battle broke up, Carano took advantage of her opportunities by striking Kobold at every opportunity, creating a sizable gash on the inside of her opponent’s eyebrow in the opening round. Carano attempted to end the fight at the end of the third round with a head kick that hit flush on Kobold’s chin, but Kobold was able to stand and the fight was declared over. Carano triumphed in a unanimous vote (30–27, 30–27, and 29–28).

Fighting for the Strikeforce Women’s Lightweight Championship

After months of deadlock over their free agent status, Carano and other fighters in the defunct promotion became contractually associated with Strikeforce after the latter acquired the assets of ProElite.

At Strikeforce: Lawler vs. Shields, it was revealed that Carano would face Cris Cyborg on August 15 at Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg. For the contest, Strikeforce established their inaugural Women’s Championship.

The title will be named as the Strikeforce Women’s Lightweight Championship, despite the fact that the 145-pound weight class is most frequently referred to as featherweight. This was announced by Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker.

The Strikeforce Women’s Middleweight Championship is now the name of the competition. Carano suffered her first loss in professional MMA when she was defeated by Cyborg via TKO at 4:59 in the first round.

Since August 2009, Carano hasn’t competed, and he has no further tournaments planned.

Carano still has four fights left on her original Strikeforce contract, which keeps her under contract with the UFC.

During an appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show in April 2014, Carano revealed she was thinking about returning to mixed martial arts.

Contract talks between the UFC and Carano reportedly halted in September 2014. Ronda Rousey claimed during her interview on the Joe Rogan Experience 690 podcast that a bout between her and Gina Carano was slated for December 2014 but never happened.

In the 2005 movie Ring Girls, Carano played the lead role.
Ring Girls, a thrilling tale based on actual events, follows five American ladies from Las Vegas as they take on the ultimate challenge of competing against the best Muay Thai fighters on the planet.

In the 2007 Oxygen reality series Fight Girls, Carano and Lisa King mentored wannabe fighters. She portrayed “Crush” on the NBC program American Gladiators. Monica Carlson (Jet), Jennifer Widerstrom (Phoenix), Michael O’Hearn (Titan), Tanoai Reed (Toa), and Don “Hollywood” Yates all appeared in the show’s exercise video (Wolf). Release day for the DVD was December 16, 2008.

She had an appearance in Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 as Natasha, a hero unit that could be purchased. In different cut scenes, she played the Soviet sniper/commando. Blood and Bone, directed by Michael Jai White, features her (2009).

Carano was cast in the lead role of Steven Soderbergh’s spy thriller Haywire (2011) in September 2009.

Dialogue delivery may seem a little stiff, and she has acknowledged that Soderbergh made some tweaks to her voice in post-production,” said Christy Lemire of the Associated Press. ” has tremendous presence, an intriguing mix of muscular power and eye-catching femininity,” she added. According to Newsweek, Carano’s background in martial arts provides her “unparalleled physicality” in the character. She explained her knockout victory over co-star Michael Fassbender as follows:

We were very harsh with one another. I was being thrown into a wall by him. He pounded my head so forcefully that I briefly lost it and turned white. We bumped knees at one point, which caused him to limp.

Carano joined the cast of John Stockwell’s 2014 action thriller In the Blood in February 2012. When a husband goes missing while on vacation in the Caribbean with his wife, who is portrayed by Carano, the movie begins.

The devastated wife pursues the guys she believes were responsible for his kidnapping and murder ferociously and mercilessly. As Gina’s character tries to “[rein] in” her violent history, Stockwell predicted that “this part will display not only Gina’s fighting capabilities but also her acting abilities.”

Gina’s appearance had changed, augmentation or no augmentation. No wonder so many people think Gina has implants.

Her face appeared to be affected by her unease. She shouldn’t be anxious about wrinkles and drooping skin since the actress isn’t even 50 yet.

Gina is rumored to have undergone a nose job, according to popular belief. The former MMA fighter allegedly changed the features of her nose to rectify it.

Carano’s nose seems sharper and more pointed than it did before. Her Botox treatments have surely helped her in her endeavor. She is also rumored to have undergone face surgery to make herself appear younger.

Gina and Kevin Ross Are They Married?

Kevin Ross, Gina Carano’s longtime partner, is still by her side. Ross, a kickboxer, and Carano started dating in 2005.

The actress thanks Kevin for introducing her to combat sports.

After parting ways in 2008, the couple reconciled in 2015, and they have been dating ever since. In 2015, Kevin revealed they were reuniting in an Instagram post:

Kevin formerly held the featherweight belt in Bellator kickboxing. He won the WBC Muay Thai international super-lightweight title and the WBC Muay Thai American welterweight title during his impressive Muay Thai career.

Although they seem to get along well, the pair has no immediate plans to get hitched. Gina and Kevin haven’t been hitched yet, and they haven’t let on that they might either.
