The University of Delhi will release the second cut off list in the third week of October. The delay this year is due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Candidates who seek admission in DU but are unable to secure a seat through the first cut-off can check DU second cut-off list for their desired courses. If a candidate gets a better course or college in a later cut-off they will have to forfeit cut-off in the first list.
DU announces cut-off list separately for arts, science and commerce courses. The cut-off for DU admission 2020 is determined as per class 12 marks. Delhi University releases 8 to 9 cut-off list, depending on the number of vacant seats.
How to Check DU 2nd Cut Off List 2020?
There are limited seats as per the subject. Candidates applying for the University must be aware of the dates and procedures so that they don’t miss any updates. It selects the students on the basis of the 12th Board performance. There are subjects for which entrance exam is conducted but mostly the admission process is done on a merit basis.

The cut off list will be available in a PDF format and the applicant will be able to save and download it. The colleges release the number of cut off lists providing an ample of chance to the candidates for the admission. It must be noted though that the cut off list of various courses will be available separately. It is important that the candidate must check the cut off list of the course for which they have applied.

DU First Cut-off Factors
The DU first cut-off depends so many facts and cannot be determined. DU never reveals it, however, here are some of common factors that influence the cut-off decision:
- The number candidates registering for a particular course.
- The number of seats available for admission.
- Marks of the students applying for a particular course.
- The popularity/demand of a particular course for admission.
- Past trends.

- Admission Form
- Enrolment Form
- Two Passport Size Photographs
- Original and Attested Copy of Provisional Certificate of the Examination passed
- Original and Attested Copy of Mark sheet of class XII (or equivalent thereof)
- The original Character Certificate from the Head of School last attended
- Original and Attested Copy of certificate of Date of Birth (class X certificate)
- The Original and Attested Copy of Migration certificate in case the student is from a Board / University other than Delhi
- Original and Attested Copy of S.C./S.T. registration/ latest O.B.C. (non creamy layer) certificate on the name of student
- Undertaking by student and parent/ guardian (against ragging) on the affidavit of Rs 10/- duly attested by the authorized notary.
- One of these Identity Proof is required from the student – Voter I.D. Card/ Aadhar Card/ Driving License/ Pan Card/ Passport
Approval of Admission
The College will retain the certificates of the approved applicant in order to avoid multiple admissions. The certificates will remain with the colleges during the admission process. After this, the college will approve the admission. However, the colleges shall promptly return the documents in case if the student withdraws/ cancels the admission or wishes to appear in counselling of any other University/ Institute.
Highlights of Second cut-off list:
The 2nd cut off of DU 2020 is the minimum qualifying marks at which candidates will be offered a seat in the affiliated colleges of Delhi University.
The Second cutoff of DU 2020 will be released in online mode by all the 91 DU affiliated colleges.
The DU Second cut off 2020 will be made based on the availability of the vacant seats after the admission process of the second cut off the round is over.
Candidates who qualified the DU Second cutoff 2020 for different UG programmes have to attend the document verification process and claim their admissions.
Candidates who qualify the DU 2020 Second cut off but do not attend the document verification on the stipulated time will not be given a chance to attend the document verification during the next round as the seat will be considered as vacant and moved for the next round of cutoff.
Important Note- Candidates must note that these are just the expected cut-off’s and not the exact cut-off. The Officials will declare the actual cut-off marks.
