In a diabolical scheme, Doc hired hitmen to kidnap his wife and give her heroin injections twice a day
When Dr. Ronald Ilg paid the hitmen more than $50,000 to kidnap his wife in 2021, he admitted to his misdeeds and claimed that he was a “fallen man.”

Dr. Ronald Ilg went a little too far when he chose to hire hitmen on the dark web to kidnap his wife and inject her with heroin twice a day to win her back, as opposed to most individuals who choose to apologise or give gifts to win their loved ones back.
Dr. Ilg, a neonatologist, was accused of trying to recruit hitmen from the internet to kidnap his estranged wife, inject her with heroin, and videotape her while doing it so he could use the footage to blackmail her. He entered a guilty plea on August 13, 2022, a Wednesday. In a courtroom in Washington State, the 55-year-old doctor admitted to his crimes and claimed that he was a “broken man” in 2021 when he paid the hitmen more than $50,000 to kidnap his wife as soon as she filed for divorce.
Ilg, a former chief medical officer of a multistate neonatology management company, was accused by the prosecution of attempting to arrange an assault on a former employee who he believed was involved in a workplace investigation into his conduct. The hitman was directed in the texts to provide a “heavy beating” that would “seriously damage both hands or shatter the hands,” which the government was able to get. He is charged with using bitcoin to pay the service $2,000.
The neonatal expert was fired in 2020 after his coworkers complained about his behaviour. He had been caring for infants at a facility in Spokane, Washington. Ilg’s wife had filed for divorce not long after he was sacked. Despite numerous restraining orders, he started acting erratically and obsessively, resorted to pestering her in an effort to win her back. Ilg was engaged in a BDSM relationship with his mistress at the same time, which included a sex-slave contract that was signed in blood and a sex-dungeon bunker that was buried on his land.
There is no proof that these websites function, and there is no proof that the assault Ilg requested was carried out, claim specialists who have investigated these platforms. However, the doctors thought it was fascinating because a month later Ilg returned to the same website with a request to kidnap his wife, who at that point was in the middle of filing for divorce from him, and the doctor was hoping to convince her to drop it. The kidnappers would take her to a safe place, inject her with heroin, teach her how to administer the drug, and videotape her doing so as a kind of blackmail, according to the plan he laid out. He wrote, “She is a strong woman. According to The Daily Beast, “And she is stubborn and will take a lot of convincing.” To sweeten the deal, he added an extra $10,000 if the chores were finished within the allotted two weeks. He also offered to pay $55,000 in Bitcoin to anyone completed the duties. These transactions were being made by Ilg using the username Scar215, His arrest took place in April 2021.
Ilg was a respectable Spokane, Washington City resident before his arrest and admission of guilt. He was a prosperous neonatologist who in 2018 divorced his first wife and wed a second woman with whom he had a son. He also ran for the local school board while identifying as a “moderate conservative.” When two of his coworkers complained about him in 2019, everything came apart. One of his coworkers accused Ilg of harassing them, and the other complained about Ilg’s scheduling tactics. At his place of employment, rumours that he was taking a gun to the NICU started to circulate, according to The Daily Mail. Ilg’s superiors were prompted to request his resignation as a result, but when he refused, he was sacked. He started texting his wife and pleading with her to return to him. Despite the restraining orders against him, Ilg persisted in stalking and pleading with his wife to return to him.
