Brianna Grier’s bodycam video depicts the arrest of a woman who later passed away after falling from a police cruiser

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) released frightening video of Brianna Grier’s final moments, just before she suffered a fatal brain damage, on Friday, July 29, 2022. Grier was in a coma for six days after her tragic “fall” from a police car before she died from her wounds.

The 28-year-old mother is captured on bodycam video on July 15 tumbling from a moving patrol cruiser while handcuffed. Grier was transferred to a hospital after being discovered face down and unresponsive by the officers; there, she passed away six days later.

The GBI made the video public after learning during the investigation that the police had neglected to close the door on Grier’s side.

Before being taken into custody, Grier is seen on camera screaming as the police drag her to the car. She claims:

“Leave me now! Abandon me! When I enter, you can watch to see if I don’t hang myself.

The video contains graphic material; please watch with caution. Viewers are cautioned to use caution.

The untimely death of Brianna Grier while under police custody is still under investigation.

In light of the increase in instances of police brutality, Brianna Grier’s death raises concerns.

Police who are in charge of Brianna Grier’s untimely death claim that she injured herself when she unintentionally fell from a police vehicle. She is, however, depicted in handcuffs in the GBI film.

Grier’s family’s attorney, Ben Crump, made the observation that it is impossible to unlock a police car door while restrained.

He stated to The Post:

Law enforcement must keep everyone under their care alive and safe at all times, even when a mental health crisis is present. Everyone is aware that it is forbidden to access a police car from the back seat, especially if the person is restrained.

Georgia police informed Brianna Grier’s family five days ago that she had died after “kicking open the door to a moving police cruiser and falling out.”

Body cam evidence now reveals that deputies attempted to cover up her murder by leaving the door open, leaving her without a seat belt, and driving away.

Grier’s family phoned the police for assistance while she was having an episode; she had been diagnosed with schizophrenia. Why the police were summoned during a mental health emergency has raised some controversy. The major query is why, in the GBI’s opinion, the door next to Grier was left unlocked.

The cop allegedly failed to buckle up as well.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation stated in a statement:

The rear driver’s side door was locked by the deputies. According to the investigation, the deputy believed he had shut the back passenger-side door. Agents have determined that the patrol car’s rear passenger side door, which was close to [Brianna] Grier’s seat, was never closed.

According to Brianna Grier’s parents, in previous occasions, the police and medical services would both be summoned. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, on the other hand, showed up this time without an ambulance and detained their daughter for allegedly resisting arrest.

Marvin Grier’s father said:

“They used to contact an ambulance service when they went outside to the residence. The ambulance service would arrive, and they would transport her to the hospital where she might receive assistance.

The most recent victim of an increase in police brutality cases is Brianna Grier. Brett Rosenau, 15, passed away from smoke inhalation during a SWAT raid earlier this month. He was reportedly not the target of the tense confrontation with the cops.

Numerous demonstrations have been held in opposition to the negligent behavior of law enforcement officers.
