Anthony Sandoval Family starts a GoFundMe campaign after a Utah boy’s best friend was killed in an accident

The horrific crash that left 9-year-old Anthony Sandoval hospitalized and killed his closest friend while the two were riding an electric bike is being investigated by Utah authorities.

The two were struck by an SUV on July 6 and were reportedly carried 200 feet on a street in South Jordan, Utah.

The mother of 9-year-old Anthony Sandoval, who is recovering after being struck by an e-bike in South Jordan last week, was the subject of our conversation.

At the time, he was traveling with his friend, 9-year-old Brayden Long. Brayden passed away last week from his wounds.

Soon after reconnecting, Anthony Sandoval and his best friend were both injured.

According to KSL-TV, the victims were Brayden Long and Anthony Sandoval, both nine years old. The next day, Long died from his injuries, and Anthony Sandoval is now doing better in the hospital.

The memorial is expanding close to the 11400 South bike lane going east. This is the location where two South Jordan nine-year-olds on e-bikes were struck by an SUV.

Today, it was revealed that Brayden Long did not recover from his wounds.

Anthony’s mother, Jamie Beach, was completely devastated by what happened and stated:

“My son’s close friend passed away. My heart goes out to his family even though I cannot fathom what they must be going through.”

According to Beach, the lads hadn’t seen one another in months. The moment they were reunited, an accident occurred.

Beach made known:

“About an hour later, I received a phone call informing me that he had been struck by a car. I had to be calmed down over the phone by South Jordan police.”

Anthony, who sustained severe head and stomach injuries in the incident, has undergone many operations since then and is still receiving care in the hospital’s intensive care unit, according to Beach. The source claims that following rehabilitation, he might initially need a wheelchair.

She stated:

“We’re hoping he’ll leave the intensive care unit soon. It’s still really close right now. In only four days, he’s undergone three surgeries. He is a really robust young man.”

Anthony Sandoval, according to Jamie Beach, is a gregarious person.

According to reports, in the autumn of 2017 Anthony Sandoval will start fourth grade at Magnet Elementary School in Magna. She continued by saying that her son hasn’t been able to speak since leaving the hospital. However, she has faith that her outgoing, resilient youngster will succeed.

She uttered:

“He’s a really extroverted guy, loves the outdoors, and is usually playing basketball or soccer outside. He simply loves being outside.”

Beach and her entire family are appreciative of the assistance received from the neighborhood during this trying time. A GoFundMe page has been created for Anthony by his family.

The 44-year-old female driver of the SUV allegedly remained at the scene of the crash and cooperated with investigators. They do not think that impairment contributed to the crash, according to a news release.

The South Jordan Police Department provided an update on the investigation, according to sources. Their primary investigator, according to Sgt. Eric Anderson, has prioritized this incident and is currently working to piece together exactly what happened.

According to Sgt. Anderson, at this time, any punishments for the SUV driver would come after the investigation’s conclusion, when the incident’s cause would be determined.
