The Axe Forgets is the fifth episode of Andor

For Andor’s final episode, Aldhani, the writing and directing team of Dan Gilroy and Susanna White are getting ready to present us with another episode that will pique our curiosity. Following the events of the previous episode, Cassian meets up with a group of rebels at Aldhani who are painstakingly plotting an assault on the troops of the Empire. On the other hand, Cassian’s unexpected appearance in the previous episode caused some ruffled feathers, and those ruffled feathers are brought to light in this particular episode.

Cassian learns that his belongings have been rummaged through by everyone, and later he is questioned by Skeen about it. After overcoming his nervousness during the interrogation and not providing a lot of information, Cassian then shares a segment with Nemik, who makes him feel welcome in the mission, if not the group already. Cassian sees how ineffective the plot and the rebellion in general are as the day of the execution becomes closer and closer. This is despite the fact that he is now embroiled in a number of interpersonal disputes. Despite the fact that they are lacking in direction, coordination, and a mind that would unite the group, the group’s enthusiasm and determination to fight against the Empire is strong.

As for our other characters, they do a little bit of moving around in the shadows in this episode because we spend the majority of our time focusing on Cassian. Karn has gone off the rails with his duties and is now complaining, sobbing, and plotting his vengeance against Cassian. The fact that Mon Mothma’s family is so strict and judgmental of her, which contributes to the fact that she frequently has the impression that she is an outsider in the family, despite the fact that she is a badass in her own right. Meero is persistent in her search for the big break that would propel her career forward, but she knows that success won’t come without effort.

Andor Episode 5 Ending

At the conclusion of the fifth episode of Andor, the group learns that Cassian is involved in the heist for the purpose of stealing money. On the other hand, the procedure does not change much, or more accurately, Vel does not allow it to change much as they proceed with their plan to rob. On the other hand, Luthen is quite interested in hearing some new information, but unfortunately, there is no chance of him receiving any kind of communication. Since Vel and her crew are now in possession of Andor, it is evident that he is concerned about the possible outcomes of future events involving them.

However, his assistant reprimands him and tells him not to worry and not to be scared because there is no way to determine the outcome of the theft until it really takes place. The comment that Luthen makes at the end of the episode is the absolute high point because he thinks that this heist will be the beginning of something far bigger, the larger uprising that would one day bring down the Empire.

Andor Episode 5: Some Closing Reflections

Andor Episode 5 does not have the same catchy song as the episode before it, especially when compared to the other episodes of the Andor series. It focuses more on Cassian and provides a more in-depth look at the members of the rebellion who we will be meeting more of in the next episodes. The fact that Alex Lawther’s Nemik is a character who everyone is liking on screen and would like to see more of is made abundantly clear by both this episode and the one that came before it. The most recent episode focused less on the Empire and its schemes and more on Andor and his companions, yet it was unable to properly develop Andor and his companions in any meaningful way.
