Update on the cast of ‘Yellowstone’ Season 5: The following is a list of all the new cast members for the HIT Paramount program.
The Paramount Network’s ‘Yellowstone,’ developed by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, premiered on June 20, 2018. The series follows John Dutton (Kevin Costner), the owner of the United States’ biggest contiguous cow ranch, the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, also known as “the Yellowstone,” and his family, who are fighting tooth and nail to keep it running. The series also looks at the tensions that exist between a big cattle ranch, an Indian reservation, and land developers along their shared borders. John Linson, Art Linson, Taylor Sheridan, Kevin Costner, David C. Glasser, Bob Yari, and Stephen Kay are among the executive producers.
The sitcom was renewed for a fifth season by Paramount Network on February 3, 2022. The next season will have 14, divided into two seven-episode installments, as opposed to the previous seasons’ ten episodes each. The fifth and final season will air on November 13, 2022. Kevin Costner, Gil Birmingham, Luke Grimes, and Kelly Reilly, among others, are almost certain to return. However, fans will be pleased to learn that there have been some casting changes and that Season 5 will feature a few new faces. The Season 4 finale of ‘Yellowstone’ shatters ratings records to become the most-watched show on television since 2017.
The most exciting casting news is that recurring characters Mo Brings Plenty (as Mo) and Wendy Moniz (aka Governor Lynelle Perry) have been promoted to regulars for the fifth season. In addition, in the fifth season, four new actors will make their debut as recurring characters. Rowdy, a teenage cowboy, will be played by Kai Caster, who is recognized for his roles in ‘American Horror Story’ (2011), ‘The Baxters’ (2019), and ‘A Girl Named Jo.’ In Season 5, country music singer–songwriter Lainey Wilson will play Abby, a musician. Clara Brewer, a new assistant for the Dutton family, will be played by Lilli Kay, who is recognized for her roles in ‘Your Honor’ (2020) and ‘Madam Secretary’ (2014). Meanwhile, Dawn Olivieri will play Sarah Atwood, a bold businesswoman looking to change things up in Montana, as seen in ‘1883’ (2021), ‘Bright’ (2017), and ‘Den of Thieves’ (2018).
In addition, Jefferson White will reprise his role as Jimmy Hurdstrom, and Kathryn Kelly will join the main cast as Emily, the lead vet technician. Jimmy’s heartfelt goodbye before returning to the 6666 ranch with his fiancée will be remembered by ‘Yellowstone’ fans.
For the first time since 2020, Kylie Rogers (Young Beth Dutton) and Kyle Red Silverstein (Young Rip Wheeler) will return to the ranch. They’ll be joined by Caroline Warner (Jacki Weaver), who made her first appearance in the fourth season. Fans of ‘Yellowstone’ will be pleased to learn that Josh Lucas will reprise his role as a young John Dutton in the upcoming season for the first time since 2019.
The fifth season of ‘Yellowstone’ will broadcast on Paramount Network on November 13, 2022.
