In 1988, the Fox News anchor graduated from Marist School in Atlanta, Georgia. Marist School is a private Roman Catholic high school. Then he went to DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, and got a BA in English and political science in 1992.
Baier joined the Sigma Chi Xi Chapter while he was at DePauw. In 2009, he was given the “Significant Sig” award by the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
In 2007, the host was named a White House correspondent for Fox News, where he covered the administration of George W. Bush. Baier started filling in for Brit Hume, who was the host of Special Report at the time, on Fridays in the fall of 2007.
On December 23, 2008, Brit Hume hosted his last show and said that Bret would take over as the host of Special Report. Baier’s first permanent show as an anchor was on January 5, 2009.

Bret never went back to the Atlanta bureau. Instead, he spent five years as the network’s Pentagon correspondent, making 11 trips to Afghanistan and 13 to Iraq.

In a similar way, Baier’s contract with Fox News was recently extended. After his multi-year contract with Fox News is renewed, the host of Special Report will still host the show and be in charge of the government.
People have seen changes in Bret’s face and thought he must have had plastic surgery. But the reporter said on Twitter that he hasn’t had any plastic surgery.
