Controversial A businessman from the Eastern Cape named Major Mfesane Bhekizulu has denied that he had anything to do with the death of his girlfriend, Singwa Namhla Mtwa.
Mtwa, a 35-year-old city worker for OR Tambo, was shot nine times in her car on April 21 after she got to her Mthatha home in Sidwadwa. She was shot in the upper part of her body and found dead at the scene. No one has been charged with anything because of what happened.

According to News24, when the family of Singwa Namhla unlocked her phone and found what they thought were disturbing messages from him, they turned to Bhekizulu, her 41-year-old businessman boyfriend.
On social media, people have said they will take care of the man themselves. Bhekizulu told News24 that people should let the police do their job and that he was not the person they should be looking for.

Before he hung up, Mfesane said he was busy and wouldn’t answer any more questions. He was arrested in September 2018 on charges that on August 11, he shot and killed one of his employees, Mxolisi Mthunjwa, and seriously hurt another, Thmebela Somana.
The Ngqeleni Magistrate’s Court in Mthatha gave the businessman R50,000 bail after he was accused of murder and attempted murder. At the time of writing, Luxolo Tyali, a spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), could not explain how the court case was going.

On Saturday, Mene told the public that the police were looking for the criminal. She also said that she put the investigation in the hands of senior management at the brigadier level and that detectives and the family of the person who died met regularly to share information.
Namhla’s family and the general public should feel safe knowing that detectives with a lot of skill and training are working on her case. The victim’s family said that he had been told about the murder case by police and had asked that the investigation be expanded to include new information, such as charges of gender-based violence and femicide (GBV & F).

Screenshots show that Mtwa begged him to let her rest and heal from the injuries he allegedly gave her, but he said he would hurt her more if she didn’t. She is said to have said that her injuries made it impossible for her to drive and that she needed to see a doctor.
The screenshots also showed what looked like a long note from Mtwa in which he apologized for letting him down. More photos and screenshots were sent to the Twitter accounts of Premier Oscar Mabuyane of the Eastern Cape, Provincial Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nomthetheleli Mene, President Cyril Ramaphosa, and Police Minister Bheki Cele.
