Controversial A businessman from the Eastern Cape named Major Mfesane Bhekizulu has denied that he had anything to do with the death of his girlfriend, Singwa Namhla Mtwa.

Mtwa, a 35-year-old city worker for OR Tambo, was shot nine times in her car on April 21 after she got to her Mthatha home in Sidwadwa. She was shot in the upper part of her body and found dead at the scene. No one has been charged with anything because of what happened.

According to News24, when the family of Singwa Namhla unlocked her phone and found what they thought were disturbing messages from him, they turned to Bhekizulu, her 41-year-old businessman boyfriend.

On social media, people have said they will take care of the man themselves. Bhekizulu told News24 that people should let the police do their job and that he was not the person they should be looking for.

The Ngqeleni Magistrate’s Court in Mthatha gave the businessman R50,000 bail after he was accused of murder and attempted murder. At the time of writing, Luxolo Tyali, a spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), could not explain how the court case was going.
