Following that, on April 29, 2021, eight men were charged with hazing, with six of them also facing manslaughter charges in connection with the incident. The defendants were Jacob Krinn, Daylen Dunson, Troy Henricksen, Canyon Caldwell, Niall Sweeney, Jarrett Prizel, Aaron Lehane, and Benjamin Boyers.
The university dismissed Pi Kappa Alpha as a result of the incident, and the Ohio General Assembly passed Collin’s Law on July 6, 2021.
