After a torturous two-year wait, HBO’s best and most underappreciated dark superhero comedy Harley Quinn is back for a third season. The TV show established itself as one of the successful DC Universe additions after the second season ended in June 2020, which made the wait for the third season much more agonizing.
The animated series, created by Patrick Schumacker and Justin Halpern, stars Kaley Cuoco as Harley Quinn, Lake Bell as Poison Ivy, and Alan Tudyk as the Joker. Ron Funches, Tony Hale, Matt Oberg, Jason Alexander, Christopher Meloni, and J.B. Smoove are additional cast members.
The first three episodes of Harley Quinn Season 3 will introduce viewers to the new power couple, Harlivy, who are shown returning to Gotham in the season premiere on July 28, 2022 at 3 AM ET. The remaining episodes are anticipated to follow a weekly release schedule, with new episodes debuting on HBO Max every Thursday at 3 AM ET after the first three episodes are released as part of the season premiere (tentative).
The first two episodes were lucky for attendees of the San Diego Comic Con because they debuted there before the HBO premiere. Before the rest of the world, they had the opportunity to meet their favorite characters, including Clayface, King Shark, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn.

As a result of Poison Ivy abandoning Kite Man at the altar, Harley and Ivy are now a committed couple prepared to cause mayhem.
The Eat, Bang, Kill Tour has been compared to Harley and Ivy’s shenanigans as a relationship, according to the HBO Max description of Season 3. The two, along with their motley gang of villains, which includes King Shark, Clayface, and Frank the Plant, attempt to improve themselves while advancing Ivy’s scheme to turn Gotham into Eden’s paradise.
Batman, Swamp Thing, Catwoman, Nightwing, John Constantine, the Mad Hatter, the Clock King, Amanda Waller, and a James Gunn cameo are all expected to make spectacular cameos in the future season. While the remainder of the cast is still unknown, What We Do in the Shadows actor Harvey Guillen has been cast to voice Nightwing.
