A notorious serial killer from Marion, Ohio named Shawn Grate killed five people in cold blood. Between 2006 and 2016, he killed Stacey Stanley, Elizabeth Griffith, Candice Cunningham, Rebekah Leicy, and Dana Nicole Lowrey.
At the Chillicothe Correctional Institution, the horrible serial killer is currently serving a life sentence for his heinous murders. The execution of Grate is anticipated for 2025.

Stacey Stanley, 43, was one of Grate’s five victims. Grate killed Stacey, also known as Stacy Hicks, by strangling her.
Her body was found at the Ashland home where Shawn was detained after her family reported her missing just one week prior to his arrest.
A another sad victim of Grate’s was Elizabeth Griffith. Griffith was 29 years old when Grate violently ended her life by strangling her; authorities also discovered Griffith’s remains at the Ashland residence.
Prior to the serial killer being apprehended, Griffith was missing for about a month.
At the age of 29, Shawn took the life of Candice Cunningham, another victim of the murderer. The murderer led law enforcement to Cunningham’s lifeless body after being apprehended. On November 1, 2016, the Richland County Sheriff’s office identified her body after it had been discovered there.
Another terrible name on Shawn’s heartbreaking list of victims is Rebekah Leicy. Only 31 years old at the time of her horrible murder by strangulation. One year prior to Shawn’s arrest, in March 2015, her body was discovered.
Although it was initially assumed that she had overdosed on drugs, Grate eventually admitted to killing Leicy in a similar manner after being found guilty.
The most recent victim of Shawn Grate’s has been identified as 23-year-old Dana Nicole Lowrey. Despite Ohio police finding her body in 2006, it was misidentified for almost 13 years. After being imprisoned, Grate admitted to strangling her.
