What was promised by Kanye West? Rapper criticised by LA homeless shelter for his promise to assist

Rapper Kanye West issued a pretty mysterious message on Friday, August 12, addressing “children” and “the homeless.” However, a TMZ article claims that L.A. Mission, a charitable group, is angry with West for breaking his commitments to assist the poor.

Although it’s unclear what West’s most recent post was trying to say, it revives conversations regarding his pledges to assist the charity and the homeless in finding employment, housing, and education.

West posted a picture of a poster that read:

“Consider the youngsters. Look to the street people. the primary source of inspiration for any design.”

What is known about Kanye West’s participation with the homeless shelter in Los Angeles

Previously, on Thanksgiving, Kanye West served 1,000 meals to Los Angeles’ homeless population. In November, according to TMZ, West met with Pastor Troy Vaughn, CEO of the Los Angeles Mission, to discuss strategies for addressing the city’s homelessness problem.

Pastor Vaughn thanked the rapper on Twitter for “showing his compassion and charity to the needy” by distributing food on Thanksgiving.

The rapper, according to TMZ, proposed a proposal to provide food for the homeless and help them find “education, employment, and housing.” His mission was to “end the cycle of homelessness and poverty by stabilising people in a secure and spiritual setting, connecting them to solutions, and walking with them on their journey.””

Additionally, he had intended to bring the Sunday Service to Skid Row in Los Angeles one more time, believing that it would uplift and heal the neighbourhood. A Sunday Service was held by him in 2019 at the Union Rescue Mission on Skid Row.

West talked on the importance of following Jesus Christ and his desire to reunite his family, which includes Kim Kardashian and his children North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, during the event to feed the poor. He observed:

“I serve as my family’s pastor. I have a house adjacent to the house so that while I’m away from the house, I may be as close to my kids as possible. I’m making every effort to be immediately present.”

Kanye West has also constructed prototypes of his YZY shelters, which offered low-cost housing for the homeless. The buildings, however, were apparently demolished because the rapper lacked the necessary building permissions.

More information on Kanye West’s pledges to eradicate hunger and homelessness

Kanye West pledged to solve hunger and homelessness countrywide when he was a candidate for president in 2020. He wrote multiple tweets about it on social media. He stated:

“We’ll eliminate hunger. In parking lots, there are folks who are sleeping… We shall recover as a people. We’ll make sure each other’s safety is guaranteed.

The rapper continued by saying:

“Someone I was discussing with recently revealed that they had been homeless at one point in their lives. Hunger and homelessness must be eliminated, and we will. Our species is capable of doing it.

Kanye West expressed his calling of being a “leader of the free world” in a conversation with comedian and TV personality Joe Rogan, which he later featured in one of his Presidential election campaign videos.

“There is never a better time to appoint a visionary as captain… I consider it to be my destiny to lead the free world.

Nothing further about Kanye West’s involvement in the fight against hunger and homelessness has been posted on his official account after the most recent Instagram post.
