WATCH: Bodycam video shows a murder suspect in Georgia being apprehended after calling the police over ice-cold McDonald’s fries.

On Friday, August 12, after he questioned employees at a neighbouring McDonald’s about an order of cold French fries, police in Georgia were able to capture a murder suspect on the run. He tried to run from the cops but ended up in handcuffs.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that 24-year-old Antoine Sims called 911 to complain about a McDonald’s employee in Kennesaw, Georgia, who initially refused to remake his order and then asked him to leave the restaurant.

An in-depth examination of the argument involving the McDonald’s cold fries

According to reports, Antoine Sims and restaurant personnel engaged in a heated argument on Friday at the Cobb Parkway McDonald’s in Kennesaw. The crew and Sims called 911 for an emergency after the argument.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution was able to get bodycam footage showing Sims approaching the cops without incident shortly after they arrived.

Sims arrived and stated that he and his girlfriend had waited for the order to come too long.

Sims is allegedly heard saying:

They aren’t hot, but neither are they cold. I merely requested that some fresh fries be ordered.
Later, Sims decided to visit a cashier to find out how their dinner was doing. But at the same moment, the fries purportedly arrived at their table.

“We placed the order, but he was unable to print the receipt. Since he had previously stated that the receipt would be printed in the rear, we sat down. Since my fiancée and I are currently looking for housing in the area, I assume our order was called, but we aren’t even aware of our order number. As a result, our supper is currently cold.

Sims added that once the manager allegedly reached into the bag and touched the fries, he desired fresh fries even more. He stated:

“Can I please get a new set since he’s already touched them?”
A slightly different account of what transpired was provided by the employees of the McDonald’s location, who said Sims bullied them and yelled profanities at them in addition to shouting his order.

After receiving cold fries from a McDonald’s in Kennesaw on Friday, a man on the run from the law for murder dialled the police. Antoine Sims, a 24-year-old suspect, was freed on bond after being charged with torching a car that had a woman’s body inside in October 2018 but failed to appear in court.

The supervisor explained to the police officers:

“I never want him to come back here. I mean, the guy is clearly on probation and wearing an ankle bracelet.

Sims was reportedly informed by cops that he could no longer enter the restaurant and was had to sign an acknowledgment. He supposedly got uneasy and objected to signing the paper. In addition, he was terrified of being arrested at some point.

An examination of Antoine Sims’ criminal history

According to reports, Antoine was first charged with the murder of Adelisa Murtatovic in 2018 while she and two other men attempted to buy cocaine from him. Gunfire marked the end of the cocaine trade.

Sims is also accused of driving the body to a neighbourhood close to Lawrenceville and igniting the vehicle with the body inside. He was taken into custody in March 2019, and a judge issued a $275,000 bond for him earlier this year. He was supposed to make a plea in July when he went back to court, but he never did.

Sims was accused of felony murder along with Michael Smith, who was Muratovic’s lover, and Deshaun Flournoy.

Sims attempted to escape the McDonald’s location but was apprehended after trying to enter a third-floor apartment in a nearby residential building. After police discovered 31 ounces of marijuana in his fiance’s car, Sims was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. In addition, he was charged with criminal trespass, hindering or obstructing law enforcement, and having an active warrant.
