Adidja Azim Palmer, better known as Vybz Kartel, is a dancehall musician and composer who is 46 years old.
Using the stage name “Adi Banton” in tribute to Buju Banton, he began his career as a young guy in 1993 with the publication of his track “Love Fat Woman” on Alvin Reid’s label “One Heart.”

An eleven-person jury found Kartel guilty of killing Clive “Lizard” Williams, 27, on March 13. (10-1).
On April 3, 2014, the artist was sentenced to life in jail. After serving 35 years, he will be eligible for parole, according to Justice Lennox Campbell.
In April 2022, the Court of Appeals decreased his parole eligibility to 32 years and 6 months. He will reportedly be eligible to apply for parole in 2046.
