Virgin River Season 4 ending explained: Is Jack the father of the babies?

The most recent season of Virgin River had a lot of drama and a plot with so many twists and turns that it can be hard to keep up.

Even with these problems, Ian Hay’s production held its own, and the ending had some great cliffhangers and resolutions. Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) ended the season in a more peaceful place than in the last season.

Fans of the show will remember that the third season ended with a huge cliffhanger and a lot of unanswered questions. This season does something similar, but at least Jack and Mel get the closure they need before a big reveal at the end throws everything into chaos again.

After Mel said she wasn’t sure whose child she was carrying, the whole fourth season of Virgin River was about whether or not Jack was the father. The fact that Jack didn’t want to find out who the father was showed how much he loved Mel.

Before they found out who the father was, the couple also got engaged. In a very happy turn of events, the results showed that Jack was, in fact, Mel’s baby’s father. But this wasn’t the only unexpected thing that happened to him this season.

After some drama with Dr. Cameron Hayek (Mark Ghanimé), Lizzie (Sarah Dugdale), and the doc’s grandson Denny (Kai Bradbury), the finale went in a darker direction.

The story of Paige (Lexa Doig) and Christopher (Chase Petriw) got a lot of time in the last episode. After Vince’s (Steve Bacic) plan to get Paige to come out worked, Preacher stepped in just in time to get the mother and son out of danger.

Vince also said that he was the one who shot Jack, which solved another mystery from last season.

When Melissa Montgomery shows up at a business dinner at the end of Virgin River, it does set up an interesting new plot line. Also, someone was taking pictures of Melissa, Jack, Mel, and the other people in the restaurant. Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley), the woman who is supposedly carrying Jack’s twins, called during dinner.

Mel and Jack went to Charmaine’s house and found her in pain on the floor. She told him she thought he was going to leave her and take the kids with him.

Charmaine told everyone at the end of the episode that the twins are not Jack’s children. The show ended before the characters could react to this new turn of events, so the fifth season will have to answer all the questions from this finale.

After a season as full as this one, it was hard to come up with a good way to end it. But the 12th episode of Virgin River was the best one yet. It not only answered a lot of questions, but it also brought up a lot more questions for the next season.
