Soto was the chief engineer of the company’s location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in the United States. Since he started constructing robots when he was still in college, he has decades of experience in the field of robotics.
After beginning his career as an assembly technician at Mako Surgical Corp., he went on to hold the positions of mechanical designer, robotics system engineer, mechanical engineer II, senior mechanical engineer, and principal mechanical engineer over the course of nine years.
In August of 2016, he became a senior staff system engineer at Stryker, which is headquartered in Miami. After working in the field for five years, in September of 2021, he was offered a position as a robotic system senior engineer working full time in Weston.

Victor Soto (Battlebots): Who Is He?
The leader of the Battlebots contingent on team Rotator is a man named Victor Soto. During his time at college, Soto began constructing robots.
The engineer first appeared in the television show Battlebots, which airs on the Discovery Channel, as a member of Team Revolution. In the show, they participated in a tournament together and fought against other teams.
2016 was the year that Battlebots sent an invitation to the engineer to attend the event and asked the Mako team to accompany him. Since the second season of ABC, the team has competed with its heavyweight robot named Rotator in every season since then. Unfortunately, they did not win the tournament.

After a few years of competition, Soto and his team achieved success in their field. As a result of this achievement, Stryker decided to support them, which enabled them to acquire materials for robots.
In addition, the breakthrough year for the engineer was 2018, the year in which they won numerous bouts and advanced to the round of single elimination.
After that, they continued competing in the event while making significant changes to it each year. The team’s BattleBot, Rotator, took part in the explore season 7 World Championship VII, and they finished the season ranked 14th in the overall BattleBots power ranking.

In a series of death matches, fan favourites such as Witch Doctor, Minotaur, SawBlaze, Hydra, and Hypershock, as well as a former champion and the current winner of the Golden Bolt, End Game, and the team that currently holds the title of World Champion, Tantrum, will compete against the most formidable teams from South America, Europe, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

BattleBots: Trailer
A team must first submit an application in order to compete for the title of BattleBot Champion. The application must include a video of the team, a photorealistic representation of the robot design, biographical information about the team, and technical drawings of the robot.
Anyone who is able to put together a team that is capable of producing a good robot is welcome to compete in the contest. The BattleBots Champions event is a difficult competition; the competing teams are required to obey 41 pages of rules.
BattleBots: Behind The Scene
Whether it’s a robotic spider outfit or a prosthetic limb with a built-in Tesla coil and spark gaps, as a fashiontech designer, I spend a significant amount of time ensuring that my creations adhere to all applicable safety standards.
When I was asked to assist in improving a robot that was intended to compete against other robots in a televised death match arena, I thought to myself, “Okay, that doesn’t seem too bad; that sounds like an opportunity to do something different.” And destroy various things.
I was present. Our first match will air tonight at 8 o’clock eastern time, but the journey to the arena started many months ago, well before the competition was filmed in Las Vegas back in the fall of last year.
My team’s name is Raptor, and our robot’s name is Ghost Raptor. Ghost Raptor is a veteran of many fights from prior seasons of the BattleBots show, which is presently airing in the United States on the Discovery Channel.
Our group’s initial mission was to determine how to improve Ghost Raptor. Chuck Pitzer, the principal engineer of Fetch Robotics, served as our team’s captain, and Eric Diehr, Xo Wang, Sabri Sansoy, and I made up the rest of the squad.
Both the game’s regulations and the layout of the playing field are subject to annual revisions in order to maintain interest among viewers and prevent competing teams from perfecting strategies that are excessively similar to one another over time.
We made the decision to equip it with a flamethrower in the hopes of either igniting the circuitry of our adversary robots or, even better, causing the batteries in their robots to detonate.
We also incorporated a horn that, if the Ghost Raptor were to find itself on its back, would cause the horn to be activated, causing it to flip up and to the right.
This was inspired by some of my previous expertise with unicorn-horn-style designs.
