Vicky White, a prison officer in Alabama, has gone missing after taking Casey White to court for a hearing.
When Vicky White, the assistant director of corrections for Lauderdale County, took Casey White from the jail on Friday morning, she said she was taking him to the county courts.
In 2015, Casey White broke into a house, stole a car, and was chased by police. He was sentenced to 75 years in prison by the US Marshals Service. In 2015, 58-year-old Connie Ridgeway was stabbed to death. He was charged with two counts of capital murder at the time.
Chris Connolly, the prosecutor in Lauderdale County, says that he confessed to the murder in 2020 before he said he was not guilty. White was being held at the detention center while he was being tried for his crimes.
After that, the two haven’t been seen again. The US Marshals Service is offering up to $10,000 for information that helps them find both of them.

Deputy prisons director Vicky White said that she was taking Casey White to the county courts to get a mental health evaluation.
That’s not true. The officer and the prisoner were not there. In the end, investigators found out that Casey White did not have an assessment or hearing planned for that day.
Officials looked into a lot of things over the weekend, including whether Vicky White had been kidnapped by the inmate or helped him get out, either under pressure or on her own, Singleton told CNN.
Video security footage was looked at by officials in the area where a patrol car was found on Saturday, but they didn’t find anything that showed that the two men were getting into another car.
Singleton said on Sunday that the sheriff’s office is looking into information that could help them figure out the name of the car where the two were left. “Nothing is confirmed at this time,” he said, though.

Meanwhile, the thief is on the run. It says that Casey White is 38 years old. The Marshals Service says that she is 6 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 260 pounds. She has hazel eyes and brown hair.
Vicky White doesn’t have a husband and is single.
Vicky White is a widow who has no children. She used to live with her mother and two brothers in Lauderdale County, but they moved away when she was a child.
As you can see, she’s been with the company for almost 20 years. Vicky also submitted her retirement paperwork to the department last week, says Singleton, who called her “an exceptional employee with a clean record.”
