Sam Ke Ting was arrested and her case was taken to the court after she was accused with dangerous and reckless driving that resulted in the death of eight youths, all under the age of sixteen.

The accident occurred in Johor of Baru at around 3:20 am when the highway was very poorly illuminated/lit and the bikers were riding basikal lajak.

The victims were all under the age of 17. where Fauzan was just 13 and Danish Zulfefli was 14 at the time of their accident.
