The Third Season of The Devil is a Part-Timer: Renewed or Cancelled?

The supernatural rom-com series “Hataraku Maou-sama!” or “The Devil is a Part-Timer!” is based on the same-named Japanese light novel series by Satoshi Wagahara. The show centers on Demon Lord Satan, whose attempt to conquer Ente Isla is thwarted by the heroine Emilia. He is compelled to flee since his life is in jeopardy, but the portal he uses brings him to Earth. As he struggles with the everyday difficulties of life, he assumes the identity of Sadao Maou and begins working at a nearby fast food establishment.

His grandiose ambitions to conquer Ente Isla and its inhabitants have not yet been abandoned, and now that he has lived on Earth, Satan intends to rule over it as well. The show, which debuted on April 4, 2013, has received accolades from critics for its reverse-isekai plot and distinctive world-building. Since “The Devil is a Part-Timer!” has amassed a sizable fan base over the years as well, many are interested in its comeback after the conclusion of its second installment. Release Date for Season 3 of The Devil is a Part-Timer

Season 2 of “The Devil is a Part-Timer!” began on July 14, 2022, and ended on September 29, 2022. The anime has twelve episodes, each of which lasts roughly 23 minutes.

It has already been decided to air the next episode of “The Devil is a Part-Timer!” in 2023. The fans won’t have to wait long to see the return of their favorite characters with fresh episodes, even though an official time period has not yet been chosen. Since the anime has a sizable fan base, the renewal of the show should not be at all surprising.

In addition, the first two seasons of the anime only cover five of the 11 volumes of Satoshi Wagahara’s work that have already been released. As a result, the creators could launch the production right away. Online rumors indicate that the anime is already in production, but there isn’t any actual proof of it as of yet. As a result, we can anticipate “The Devil is a Part-Timer!” season 3 to debut somewhere in the third quarter of 2023.

Third Season of The Devil is a Part Timer

Chiho will learn about holy magic and Idea Link in season 3 so that she can help Emi and Suzune in their conflicts. Maou will be disappointed by this, which is unfortunate because he cares about Chiho’s welfare. He does not want to involve her further because she was already poisoned, therefore it is natural why he is afraid. In the meantime, the fast-food restaurant where he works completes the renovations, and he resumes his normal duties.

Emi discovers something that alters her life in the meantime. It appears that there is a chance that his father is still alive after all. It comes as a tremendous shock to her because a lot of her life’s decisions and resentments were built on his father’s passing. Given that they seem to be hinting at having romantic feelings for one another, it would be intriguing to see how her friendship with Maou progresses. It’s anticipated that this and other topics will be covered in the third season of the show.

Main Characters Of “The Devil is a Part-Timer!”

Satan Jacob (also known as Satan Jakobu) :

Satan Jacob is the Ente Isla Demon Lord. He was brought to the present-day Japan with Ashiya and transformed into human form as a result of the deeds of the Hero Emilia Justina and her allies. He takes on the Japanese name Sadao Maou, which is similar to his real name, in order to survive in Japan. He also works part-time at a McDonald’s outlet before getting promoted to Assistant Shift Manager, a full-time post. When the people in their immediate vicinity are overcome with despair, he and other demons can revert to their former forms. Due to his role as the Demon King, the characters are frequently bewildered when he transforms into his devil form and uses his abilities for good things like rebuilding the city. His current personality is frequently questioned throughout the series, but it is later revealed that he had always been that way and had never been the “Evil Overlord” that the residents of Ente Isla had come to fear and despise; rather, he carried out his “evil” deeds in order to aid his fellow demons. He just wants to safeguard those who are under his care and those who are close to him, as he said to Emilia when he saved Chiho. Lailah, Emi’s mother, saved and tutored him when he was a small boy. She also gave him a piece of Sephiroth, which would later become Alas Ramus, his and Emi’s designated daughter. In order to save Emi and Ashiya when they were taken hostage by Olba and the Angels to fight in Ente Isla, he would eventually merge with Alas Ramus’ “younger sister,” Acieth Alla (who is another part of “Yesod”).

Emilia Justina (also known as Emiria Yusutna) and Emi Yusa (also known as Yusa Emi):

Emilia is the heroine with magenta hair that reaches her thighs who defeated Satan. Emilia Justina pursues Satan to present-day Japan after causing him to flee from Ente Isla in order to assure his destruction. Like Maou, she is forced to adopt the Japanese identity Emi Yusa and find work as a contact center agent after losing most of her magical abilities upon her arrival. Her mother was an angel, and her father was a human. Lucifer, one of Maou’s generals, however, led an army of demons to assault her town when she was a young girl, killing her father. It is revealed that she wants to murder Maou for this reason. Later, it was discovered that her father was still living. Later, Emi is let go from her position at the phone center and begins working alongside Maou and Chiho at Mc Donald’s. Despite her objections, Maou names her a Demon General of the Demon Army. She subsequently falls in love with Maou, but she finds it difficult to accept her feelings given their complicated past and the fact that Chiho is also madly in love with him.

Alciel (, Arushieru) and Shir Ashiya (, Ashiya Shir):

One of Satan’s Generals, Ashiya, was also brought to contemporary Japan. Alciel, who is fiercely devoted to Satan, looks after household responsibilities while looking into ways to reclaim their magical abilities. Alciel takes on the appearance of Shir Ashiya on Earth and serves as Sadao’s housekeeper. He experiences emotional breakdowns whenever he performs poorly in his duties because he is so disappointed in himself for not doing a better job of aiding his master. He also practices extreme thrift when it comes to his spending, once consuming a lot of leftover udon that was going to go bad (which resulted in a severely upset stomach). He has hinted that he loves Rika too, but he is now reluctant to pursue a relationship with her because he thinks she only liked him in his human form and not in his demonic “real personality.”

Chiho Sasaki (also known as Chiho Sasaki):

High school student Chiho works at MgRonald and is a buddy of Sadao’s. She feels a connection to Sadao. Chiho is a typical teenage girl of petite stature with a highly curvy shape, which is something that many people have noticed and that other girls, particularly Emi, envy. She was unintentionally targeted by a communication spell meant for Emi because the spell was designed to target people who were continuously thinking about Sadao. As a result, she can hear and understand Ente Isla’s language. Later on, she discovers how to cast the magic spell Idea Link so she may warn the others if she ever finds herself in danger. She can also employ magic to improve her archery abilities. She is delighted when Maou selects her as a Demon General of the Demon Army; she also gains Maou’s respect in the demon society. She becomes embroiled in Ente Isla politics in order to obtain the Spear of Adramelechinus, which is required to power the Demon’s Castle and reach the Angels’ stronghold on the moon.

Urushihara Hanz (Urushihara Hanz) and Rushiferu (Rushiferu):

A fallen angel and one of Satan’s generals, Lucifer. Olba promised to send Lucifer back to heaven if Lucifer helped him destroy Satan once he was brought to the world of humans. Lucifer, however, takes up residence in Sadao and Shir’s apartment after Satan vanquishes them. He enjoys playing video games and is tech savvy. He must stay in isolation to evade the authorities after committing a string of robberies with Olba before being overpowered by Sadao. Even when guests are present, he is frequently referred to as a hikikomori or NEET, which annoys him. His father was the legendary demon lord Sataniel, and his mother is the present angel leader Ignora.

Crestia Bell (, Kuresutia Beru) / Suzuno Kamazuki (, Kamazuki Suzuno):

The next-door neighbor of Sadao. She always has a kimono on. Suzuno is the chief inquisitor of the Ente Isla Church, who, like Emi, came to assassinate Sadao. Unlike Emi, she seems to struggle with modern Japanese life and is frequently seen struggling, particularly with the country’s technology. She has managed Japan, but only the traditional Japanese way. She initially teamed up with Sariel to kill both Sadao and Emi after Sariel reminded her of her obligations as grand inquisitor, but after realizing that she valued her friendship with Emi and Chiho and seeing Sadao care for Chiho, she ultimately turned against Sariel by assisting Chiho in fleeing the area while Satan and Sariel engaged in combat. Her gigantic mallet, which she can retract into her flower-shaped hairpin, is in her hand. Despite her objections, Maou selects her as a Demon General of the Demon Army. She finally falls in love with Maou, but she finds it difficult to embrace those sentiments given their complicated past. The position of Archbishop of the Church in Ente Isla is eventually given to her.
