The first episode of the fourth season of “Stranger Things” was made available on Netflix in the first week of June 2022. The narrative skillfully navigated a number of twists and turns in ways that caused many of us to be taken aback. During this time, the citizens of Hawkins are still reeling from the mysterious deaths that were linked to the Upside Down.

Ross Duffer, the show’s producer, discussed his desire for Steve’s character to be killed off in the first season’s climactic episode with Netflix Geeked. A number of fans took note of Ross’s comments and began to theorise that the character’s demise would have been postponed, with the rumour being that it will occur in Volume two of Season 4.
We are aware that the notorious thing that the show “Stranger Things” is known for is killing off its characters at the most inopportune times. And it should come as no surprise that the series may lose another of its protagonists at some point throughout this instalment as well. The first volume of the fourth season focuses on Steve and Robin Buckley’s time spent working together at a video rental company (Maya Hawke). Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), who is trying to find Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) and maybe clear his record, utilises the computers and phones in the business to hunt for clues on where Eddie Munson might be.
Both Max and Steve came dangerously close to being killed by various occurrences connected to the Upside Down in Volume One. However, while the outcome of Max’s story may still be unknown at this point, the audience is almost unanimous in their belief that Steve will be the one to perish by the conclusion of Volume Two. Steve’s character journey over the entirety of the show has seen him develop into a True American Hero from the perspective of a popular adolescent who wouldn’t be caught dead hanging out with those weird youngsters. His personality has matured quite a bit over the years.
The fact that those Demobats came dangerously close to devouring Steve Harrington during the most recent season is one of the hypotheses that helps to explain why he might have been killed. The potential long-term ramifications of the situation are causing fans to express their concern. Will he be able to pull through anything like that? One further thing to consider is the fact that Steve is plunging himself headfirst into lakes in order to look for entrances to the Upside Down. The potential for strength in his character has been fully realised. Fans also believe that Steve might still have love for Nancy, and that he wouldn’t think twice about sacrificing himself to save her life if she were in danger. There is reason to believe that Steve has been bitten; yet, even if he manages to get to Hawkins, it is impossible to say whether or not he will be healthy there. But since Vecna is holding him and Nancy at the conclusion of volume one, it’s feasible that Steve may perform another heroic act to save Nancy, but this time he won’t be able to keep his life.
During an interview with Netflix Geeked, Matt Duffer explained, “Because there is that scene where, really, which is the beginning of his turn,” “Which is when he comes back in the end, and he comes and ends up fighting the Demogorgon with Jonathan and Nancy, and originally that was going to be Jonathan’s dad, Lonnie.”
