SPY X FAMILY: AFTER EPISODE 12, SEASON 1 PART 2 WILL RELEASE THIS YEAR

After episode 12, Spy x Family season 1 is still ongoing. Later this year, the popular anime series will return with a 13-episode part 2.

The amazing Spy x Family anime series will air its final episode today, June 25th, following its Spring broadcast.

Fans of “Penguin Park” will naturally be dismayed by the fact that Anya, Loid, and Yor won’t be visiting our weekends for some time after the credits have rolled on the show.

The good news is that there won’t be a long wait before Spy x Family returns!

Spy x Family will return later this year for season 1 part 2, which is expected to contain more episodes than the just finished broadcast, even if season 2 is still undetermined. Here’s everything fans need to know.

Later this year, SPY X FAMILY: SEASON 1 PART 2 will be released.

While Spy x Family anime fans will be sad to see the series come to an end later today, everyone can look forward to a second part airing later in 2022.

Back in December 2021, it was announced that season 1 of Spy x Family would be shown over two separate courses in Japan and abroad on Crunchyroll, along with the primary voice cast.

Because an anime season in Japan runs from January to March during the winter, April to June during the spring, July to September during the summer, and October to December during the fall, a cour is a three-month programming block (Fall).

Thankfully, season 1 part 2’s 13 episodes and 2022 premiere date were revealed by the anime’s planned DVD sales in Japan.

According to the just ended broadcast, this suggests that Spy x Family will return on the Fall schedule, most likely on either Saturday, October 1, or Saturday, October 8.

To be clear, Spy x Family episode 12 “Penguin Park” is simply the midseason finale for the anime; the remaining 13 episodes are scheduled to air when the show returns in October 2022.

AFTER COURSE 1, HOW HAS THE ANIMATION BEEN RATED?

In what has otherwise been a fairly unimpressive Spring season, Spy x Family has been a breath of fresh air. The popular show has received the highest ratings of the anime from April to June on practically every user-based rating service.

After spending 12 weeks in a row in the AniTrendz Top 10 fan polls, the series has received ratings of 4.6/5 on Anime Planet, 4.9/5 on Crunchyroll Reviews, 88 percent on Anilist, and 8.9/10 on IMDB. Of course, it peaked in first position for a large portion of its broadcast.

With over 267,000 reviews and 800,000 users, Spy x Family is also awarded a 9/10 on MyAnimeList. Spy x Family now ranks as the 12th-highest-rated anime of all time in addition to being the most popular series from MAL’s 2022 Spring schedule.

WORKING ON A SPY X FAMILY MUSICAL

If you’re eager for more Spy x Family material and are considering travelling to Japan, a stage musical version of the popular series will soon be debuting there.

The play, simply named “Musical Spy x Family,” is scheduled to debut in March 2023 at Tokyo’s Imperial Theatre before embarking on a national tour in April and May.

The official cast has not yet been made public, although the initial source did mention that Anya auditions were presently being planned.

Sadly, no information has been released on the musical’s arrival in either Europe or North America. The good news is that an international production firm might choose the anime series if it can continue its excellent transmission through season 1 part 2 and the musical is a success in Japan.
