Sid Steiner: Bio

Yellowstone features Sid Steine in the role of a genuine cowboy. The Steiner Rodeo Company is currently run by Sid Steine, who is a member of the third generation to do so.

Steiner was born in Austin, Texas on December 8, 1974 to parents Bobby Steiner and Joleen. He was their only child.

After winning the 1973 RCA World Championship Bull Riding, his father, the Bobby, was inducted into the gold buckle club. This honor allowed him to wear a gold buckle.

After co-managing the rodeo company with the actor’s grandfather Tommy for a period of nine years, the actor’s father ultimately decided to sell the business in 1982. Sid was 6 years old, and his brother Shane was 7 years old at the time.

Sid Steiner: Career

Sid grew up playing football and baseball despite coming from a rodeo family. He went on to play football at Ranger College in Ranger, Texas, which is located in the town of Ranger.

Later on, Steiner became a steer wrestler and competed in the sport from 1995 to 2002. In 2002, he won the PRCA Steer Wrestling World Championship and was awarded the coveted golden buckle.

When the cowboy was competing in a rodeo in Caldwell, Idaho, he ended up meeting his future wife, Jamie. In the year 2000, Jamie and Sid both qualified for the NFR. Jamie spent her entire childhood at the racetrack, where her father worked as a jockey.

Sid Steiner: Married Life

The wedding took place in April 2001 after the pair announced their engagement in December 1999. When he became a world champion, their firstborn daughter Steely was 11 months old.

In addition, they also have a younger son who goes by the name Rocker.

On their ranch, Sid and his father, Bobby, are coaching their son, Rocker, to become a bareback contender, and they are coaching their daughter, Steely, to become a barrel racer. Both of their children are interested in rodeo.

Both the highly regarded Steiner Steakhouse on Lake Travis and Vaqueros, a Mexican restaurant in Austin are owned and operated by the two individuals.

Sid is also active in the real estate industry. Steiner is a fifth-generation rodeo cowboy, which means that he was born to compete.

It is therefore not surprising that he has been so successful over the past year. Steiner, who is only 18 years old, competed in this event, which was his first time competing in the National Finals Rodeo (NFR).

Some people are just now becoming aware that Rocker Steiner was a guest star on the hit television show Yellowstone as a result of the increased attention he received following his presence at NFR 2022 in Las Vegas.

2002: World champion and Wrangler National Finals Rodeo aggregate champion; won event titles at the Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo in Casper, the Sheridan (Wyo.) Rodeo, the Dixie National in Jackson, Mississippi, and the Dodge City (Kan.) Roundup Rodeo.

During the year 2000, he was victorious at the Puyallup (Washington) Fair and Rodeo, as well as the Caldwell (Idaho) Night Rodeo and the Old Fort Days Rodeo (Fort Smith, Ark.).

1999: First place finish at the Farm-City Pro Rodeo (Hermiston, Ore.).

Meet Rocker Steiner From Yellowstone

Back in the third season of Yellowstone, a guest star by the name of Rocker Steiner made an appearance. In the episode, he appeared alongside his wife and children. According to what is stated in the synopsis of Yellowstone that can be found on IMDb, the Steiner family “are regarded ‘rock stars’ in the rodeo and ranching world.”

Because of this, they are an obvious choice for the series, which is well-known for securing cameo appearances from celebrities with significant profiles.

Steiner mentioned in an interview that Taylor Sheridan had moved in just next door to them. “Not only did he compose the script for Yellowstone, but he also directed it.

When he learned that I rode bareback horses, he asked me if I wanted to be in the show, and when I told him “yes,” he was surprised.

“We traveled to Utah and filmed there for a while. I had no idea what kind of pushback I would get since I was completely unprepared for it.

After then, I was forced to switch off my phone since I was receiving footage of the earlier event till today, Steiner said. “Seriously, I had no choice.”

Rocker Steiner’s Appearance in Yellowstone Season 3

There was only one episode of Yellowstone season 3 in which Rocker Steiner and his family made an appearance.

The Beating is the title of the seventh episode of the third season of “The Walking Dead.” The broadcast date for this episode was August 2nd, 2020.

During the course of the episode, the family meets Rip Wheeler, the ranch hand who works on the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch and is played by Cole Hauser.

They pay a visit, impart some of their knowledge on Rip’s horse, and attempt to negotiate a bargain with him.

In spite of the fact that the Steiner family is considered to be rodeo royalty, Rip does not end up offering the horse to them.

We are keeping our fingers crossed that Rocker Steiner, who is becoming a more established figure in the rodeo arena in his own right, may consider bringing the rookie back to Yellowstone.

Although Rocker Steiner played a more supporting role in the family’s cameo in Yellowstone, Sid Steiner, Rocker’s father, was the one who really stole the show.

Sid is the one who negotiates a deal with Rip, during which he also comes into contact with Mia and Jimmy.

Bobby Steiner, who is both Sid’s father and Rocker’s grandfather, makes a cameo appearance in the episode.

Bobby Steiner is a bull rider who has won world championships, and he has encouraged his children to pursue a career in the sport.

Between the years 1995 and 2002, Sid competed as a steer wrestler. In 2002, he was honored with the title of PRCA Steer Wrestling World Champion.

They are not the first father-and-son team to visit Yellowstone National Park. The actor who portrays ranch hand Lloyd Pierce on the show, Forrie J. Smith, asked his son, Forrest Smith, to appear in flashback scenes as a younger version of Lloyd.

Sid Steiner Starred His Son Rocker Steiner

Sid is a cowboy in Yellowstone just like his father was, and they both work there. The father and son team had a co-starring role in an episode of the third season of the television show that they both appeared in together.

Rocker Steiner spent his childhood in Texas, next to Lake Austin, with his sister Steely, as well as his parents Sid and Jamie. The rodeo dude began wakeboarding when he was three years old and has been doing it ever since.

“He was 8 when he did a flip on the wakeboard and landed it,” claimed his grandfather while speaking to Rodeo News. “

He’s been a rockstar from the time he was able to walk,” said his grandson. “He’s been a rockstar from the time he tried to do a flip on the wakeboard and landed it.”

Although the young Steiner has participated in wakeboarding all around the country, he soon found that he was more interested in rodeo.

According to him, wakeboarding is a good activity to do with a group of friends, but bareback riding a wild animal provides an enormous rush of excitement.

It wasn’t until 2016 that he got his first experience riding a horse without a saddle, but he was so intimidated by the experience that he was unable to make any progress until his grandfather Bobby began accompanying him to his daily riding lessons.

Rocker, following in the footsteps of his father and grandpa, has his sights set on winning a world championship in rodeo and intends to start competing when he turns 18 years old.

In 2022, he became a member of the NFR, and the following year, he shared the title of co-champion in the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Frontier Days and PRCA Rodeo in Weatherford, Texas.

After finishing Round 6 at the 2022 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, which took place from December 1-10, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, he is now atop the Resistol Rookie list for bareback riding and holds the ninth position in the world standings. This achievement came about as a result of his participation in the event.
