Because he had reestablished contact with an old classmate from his alma mater, Jon Kondrath, who had previously encouraged Jonathan to work at Rekon Productions, this possibility presented itself to him.

In addition to his work at Rekon, Jonathan spent the months of January through April 2018 serving as a volunteer mentor for the nonprofit arts and culture group Young Storytellers.

Within the context of this initiative, he served as a guide and instructor to a budding author as they composed a play script to be performed on stage in front of their fellow students.
