Phoenix Suns Owner Robert Sarver Have 3 Children- Meet His Sons Jake, Max And Zach Sarver

The NBA and the sports business have heard that Robert Sarver has been banned from the sport.

NBC News says that the owner of the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury has been banned from basketball for a year. The NBA also fined him $10 million for making rude and bullying comments at work that were rude and inappropriate.

The $10 million fine is the most that the league can charge, and it is by far the most money that has ever been taken from one person in the history of pro basketball.

After months of investigation, the accusations against the well-known businessman have been proven to be true.

Robert Sarver is worth a lot of money, and he has a family of four, which includes his three sons

Robert Sarver owns not only the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury, but also RCD Mallorca. He is good at basketball, but he is also in charge of Southwest Value Partners, a company that builds new homes.

Robert is a jaw-dropping multimillionaire who is busy with his billion-dollar teams and company. He is also a family man and a father to his three children.

His long-term marriage to Penny Sanders gave him three sons: Jake, Max, and Zach. All of their sons were boys, and they raised them close to them. Robert and Penny are very close to each of their children.

The Sarver kids don’t just stay at home. They also go to Phoenix games with their parents and cheer for them.

Arizona Sports took pictures of the Sarver family having fun together many times, including at a March 2019 game between the Suns and the Bucks.

Robert is a rich man with a net worth of more than $80 million. He has given his family a good life.

Phoenix: Robert Sarver Children are two years apart in age

The three sons of the suspended Phoenix owner are all about the same age. Max was born first in 1997, and Jake came along two years later in 1999.

In the same way, Zach, the youngest son of the wealthy Sarver family, was born in 2001, two years after Jake. In 2022, Max will be 25, Jake will be 23, and Zach will be 22.

The youngest of his sons made news in 2017 when Arizona Central wrote about how he went from being in a come to winning a state championship in high school.

Later, Zach, who was 16 at the time, severely hurt his brain while skateboarding. This put him into a coma. But his family and coach helped him get back on the field, and he was able to play again.

Then he helped his team, Phoenix Country Day School, win a state championship, which was his biggest accomplishment.

Zach has moved on from the traumatic event because he won and because everyone kept supporting him.

Robert Sarver, who owns an NBA team, is still married to Penny Sarver

Penny Sanders is married to Robert Sarver, who is known as a big name in the NBA.

Mrs. Penny is proud to be from Missouri and is happy to have three sons. The Sun confirms that the happy married couple met in 1991 and dated for a few years before getting married on November 2, 1996.

Sanders is also a business owner. She and her husband do the same work. She seems to be interested in her husband’s sports business, since she usually goes to games with him.

She used to work for Prentice-Hall as a marketer for college textbooks. After getting her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Oklahoma in 1990, the matriarch of the Sarver family went to work.

Today, Penny spends most of her time taking care of her young sons and helping her husband win.

But Robert’s current situation with his ban has caused his family to get involved. Penny and her sons have not said anything about what is going on.

How I grew up and went to school

Sarver’s parents, Irene and Jack Sarver, raised him in Tucson. Sarver is a Jew. His father was a well-known businessman, banker, and hotel developer in Tucson. He built the Aztec Inn and the Plaza International Hotel (now an Aloft Hotel) at Speedway and Campbell in the early 1970s. He also built and ran Howard Johnson’s locations in Tucson and was the CEO of American Savings & Loan Association. In 1979, Jack Sarver died of a heart attack. His son Robert later gave money to the University of Arizona’s heart research center, which was renamed the Sarver Heart Center in 1998 to honor his father. At 16, he went to work for American Savings and Loan, the business his father ran. Sarver went to high school in Tucson and graduated from Sabino High School in 1979. In 1982, he got a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arizona. Sarver got his certification as a public accountant in 1983.

Career

Sarver set up the National Bank of Tucson in 1984. (which he expanded statewide and changed the name to the National Bank of Arizona). In 1994, he sold the National Bank of Arizona to Zions Bancorporation. At the time, the National Bank of Arizona was the largest independent bank in the state. In 1995, he bought Grossmont Bank, one of the largest local banks in San Diego. In 1997, Zions Bancorporation also bought Grossmont. Sarver was in charge of getting Zions Bancorporation to buy Sumitomo Bank of California in 1998. [4] He was made the head of Western Alliance Bancorporation in 2003.

Real estate development

Sarver and Millard Seldin started the real estate company Southwest Value Partners together in the year 1990. In 1995, Southwest Value Partners bought the San Diego building called the Emerald Plaza.  In 2004, his real estate company, Southwest Value Partners, sold the Emerald Plaza and two other office buildings in San Diego for $274.5 million to a Santa Ana real estate company, Triple Net Properties.

Phoenix Suns

Sarver has always liked sports, and his plan to buy an NBA team began with a conversation with Lute Olson, the basketball coach at the University of Arizona. Olson put Sarver in touch with Steve Kerr, a 15-year NBA veteran and former Arizona player, to help him buy an NBA team. In 2004, he paid a record $401 million for the Phoenix Suns.

Since he bought the team, Sarver has been in charge of a lot of organizational changes. In 2020, Sarver, the Suns, and Verizon worked together to build the Verizon 5G Performance Center, a state-of-the-art 53,000-square-foot practice arena. The $45 million building uses 5G technology to combine computer-aided motion analysis, tracking of players and the ball, and tracking of shots. This gives players and coaches accurate information. Both the Suns and the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA use this new technology to push the limits of sports science. The Footprint Center, which used to be called Talking Stick Arena, got a $230 million makeover and expansion in 2021. As part of the renovations, there will be high-end seating options, themed bars, new suites, and more social spaces. On top of the physical changes to the arena, the way the game is shown has also been changed. The sound, lighting, and video systems have all been improved. Changes were also made to the arena’s infrastructure, making it one of the greenest sports stadiums in the United States.

The last time the Suns were in the NBA Finals was in 1993. Even though their young core played well, the Suns lost to the Bucks 4–2. At the beginning of the season, the Suns weren’t seen as potential title contenders. However, Sarver, general manager James Jones, and coach Monty Williams have quickly built the team into one of the best in the NBA.

Controversies

Sarver has been criticized by current and former employees, agents, and rival executives for being “an interventionist owner with more power than expertise, an unstable front office, an understaffed scouting department, and an outdated facility that separates the decision-makers from the players and coaches.”

On November 4, 2021, Baxter Holmes wrote a report about Sarver and the Suns for ESPN. In it, he accused Sarver and members of the front office of racism, sexism, and sexual harassment. For example, Holmes said that Sarver told a coach to fire a minority agent and that he told the staff at a meeting that he liked extra-large condoms.

More than seventy former and current employees of the Suns agreed with the report. Sarver and his legal team denied most of the accusations, saying that there were only a few sources on record and that, even though the reporter talked to 70 employees, the article didn’t show that all of them said bad things about the organization. Sarver and the Suns were glad to hear that the NBA would look into the claims.

The NBA suspended Sarver for a year on September 13, 2022, after an independent investigation found that he had used the n-word more than once, sexually harassed and attacked both male and female employees, and treated employees in a disrespectful way.

Mercury Phoenix

Jerry Colangelo started the company in 1997, and Sarver bought the Phoenix Suns and the WNBA team in 2004.

The Phoenix Mercury were one of the first eight teams to join the WNBA for its first season in 1997. They are one of only three teams left in the current 12-team league (along with the New York Liberty and Los Angeles Sparks). Only five of the twelve WNBA teams are owned by the same people as their NBA counterparts (Indiana Fever, Minnesota Lynx, New York Liberty, Phoenix Mercury, and Washington Mystics). Under Sarver’s ownership, the Mercury have won three WNBA titles (in 2007, 2009, and 2014) and four conference titles, including this year’s (2007, 2009, 2014, 2021).
