Paul Staehle: 90 Day Fiancé alum was reported missing with his baby boy
Paul Staehle, a former participant in 90 Day Fiancé, and his 3-year-old son Pierre Martins were reported missing by Child Protective Services in Louisville last month.
But on Saturday, the reality star told TMZ that everything was just a big “misunderstanding.” The toddler is okay, he said, and the two had simply been on a lengthy business trip together.
The first child of Paul Staehle and his ex-wife Karine Martin was born in Manaus, Brazil, in 2019, and is currently three years old. Staehle and Martin welcomed their second child, Ethan, later in February 2021.
The pleased father of Pierre told People after Pierre was born:
“I’m extremely grateful, honored, and fortunate, and I want to make sure I give Pierre everything I have.”

Child Protective Services received a report about 90 Day Fiancé actor Paul Staehle’s son Pierre Martins on Wednesday, June 8. The Louisville Metro Police Department also made a complaint of the three-year-disappearance old’s the following day.
Pierre was also the subject of a warning from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The warning included a picture of Pierre and stated that he might be with his father.
Paul refuted claims that he abducted or fled with his kids. Instead, he explained that he and Pierre have been on a “long work trip” since June. He added that in order to secure employment and gain custody of Pierre and Ethan, he had been moving back and forth between Pennsylvania and Florida.
Additionally, the 90 Day Fiancé star revealed that he brought his son along because Pierre had “severe separation anxiety.” The reality TV star also acknowledged that he intended to go back to Louiseville in order to try to get custody of both of his sons.
Brazilian reality actress Karine Martins made a comment about the circumstance on her Instagram account in Portuguese, which People translated. Martins stated that she was “doing well” in the translation. She also mentioned that she would be giving her 451,000+ Instagram followers an update soon via an Instagram Live.

2017’s first season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days introduced viewers to Paul and Karine. The couple later returned for the show’s second season. Viewers witnessed Paul meet Karine in Brazil in both seasons, and they later wed in 2017.
The 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After spinoff of the show saw the newlyweds return to the screen. It turned out, though, that things weren’t quite as happy between the lovers anymore.
As Paul struggled to find employment in Brazil to support his new family, the couple began to quarrel frequently. The couple then made the decision to relocate to Kentucky. They moved because they thought their relationship would improve in a different state and that everything would be better for them there. But for the stars of 90 Day Fiancé, the action just made matters worse.
They then relocated once more to Brazil where they welcomed their second son, Ethan. The pair continued to argue after the show concluded, and their relationship hit rock bottom. After Karine acknowledged that she had broken up with Staehle and was “searching for a lawyer,” it was officially announced in November 2019.
