OVERWATCH 2: Release Time, Date & Platform
Blizzard has disclosed their countdown to when the Overwatch 2 beta will start and come out, and they have also announced how long the second OW2 playtest is slated to take. Both of these pieces of information can be found on their respective websites.
This is the first time that many people will have the chance to play the highly anticipated sequel from Blizzard. You have the option of purchasing a Watchpoint Pack to ensure your participation in the event, or you can sign up and try to be invited to take part.
It’s a really fantastic demo, and it will provide a lot of fans on console and PC their very first taste of the game before the PvP mode comes in early access format in October.
All character reworks and hero changes will be implemented in the Overwatch 2 beta.
WHAT TIME DOES THE BETA TESTING FOR OVERWATCH 2 BEGIN?
On June 28 at 11:00 PT, 14:00 ET, and 19:00 BST (that’s British Summer Time), the release date and start time countdown for when the Overwatch 2 beta will begin has been set.
This information was gleaned from the OW2 FAQ provided by Blizzard. You can make an effort to join up and acquire an invitation if you want to learn how to play the game.
Go to the webpage where you can opt in and select your preferred platform. Choose either the PlayStation Americas, Europe, Japan, or Asia option when configuring your PS4 or PS5 and the Xbox option when configuring your Xbox One and Series X/S. PC is another option that is open to you.
Click the “Request Beta Access” button once you’ve decided which platform to use. On June 28th, any invite you receive will be delivered to the email address that is associated with your Battle.net account, and you will be required to redeem the code at the store that is appropriate for your account.
The good news is that more codes will be sent out by Blizzard on July 5th, in the event that you do not receive an invite on June 28th. In addition, their FAQ mentions that the developers intend to grant beta access to anyone who registers up by the 14th of July.
You will want to purchase the Watchpoint Pack from either the PlayStation Network (PSN), the Microsoft Shop, or the Battle.net store if you want to ensure that you have immediate access beginning June 28.
HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO PLAY THE OW2 TEST?
Blizzard has announced that the Overwatch 2 beta will run for a total of three weeks, beginning on June 28th and concluding on July 18th. This duration of the test was not previously known.
The timeframe of three weeks is ideal since it will enable fans to take their time and really enjoy everything without feeling rushed. Be aware, however, that any progress you make during the playtest that carries over to the final product will not be reflected there.
Blizzard has announced that the full version of the player vs player game will be available on October 4th. Not only will it be released this year, but unlike its predecessor, it will be completely free to play for all players, regardless of whether or not they own OW1.
