ONE PIECE: RELEASE DATE OF CHAPTER 1054 CONFIRMED AFTER 1-MONTH DELAY

With the confirmation of the chapter 1054 publishing date following the postponement, the One Piece manga series will officially take a one-month sabbatical.

Since the conclusion of Kaido vs. Luffy on the Onigashima rooftop last month, the One Piece fandom has known that the iconic manga series was gradually approaching its final, concluding story arc.

However, few fans would have predicted the shocking news that the manga’s final arc will be arriving much sooner than planned, which was revealed earlier this month.

Here is all the information you need to know about the delay and publishing date for manga chapter 1054 because Eiichiro Oda has decided to take a one-month hiatus to prepare for the One Piece final arc.

RELEASE DATE AND DELAY FOR ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1054 ARE EXPLAINED

From Issue #30 of Weekly Shonen Jump in 2022 to Issue #34, the One Piece manga series will take a vacation.

Sadly, this means that the One Piece manga’s chapter 1054 won’t be available to readers outside of Japan until Sunday, July 24.

On June 7th, the official Twitter page sent a message from author Eiichiro Oda, who acknowledged that the approaching break is in part intended to get ready for the story’s concluding arc.

Oda admits that his production team predicted some months ago that he would have a very difficult summer. In addition to having to fly to the South African set of Netflix’s live-action series for supervision, promote the upcoming One Piece: Red movie, and after all of that…plan the manga series’ final arc—the 25th anniversary celebrations are fast approaching.

According to the statement, Oda was originally taken aback by the offer, but after considering how busy the iconic franchise is expected to be throughout the summer, he came to the conclusion that taking a well-deserved holiday was the wisest course of action.

“What?! A rest period? Do you believe readers enjoy Jump… Resting, though! And I also want to visit Africa! In order to wrap up the series as quickly as possible, I also want to rearrange the series’ final arc. So… I apologise, but I need to take a moment to relax and get ready. — Eiichiro Oda, through Twitter, @WSJ manga.

Oda also mentioned how the pandemic forced him to postpone his earlier visit to the Netflix production set and how he now has concentrate on the upcoming Red movie.

And please anticipate the August 6th presentation of ONE PIECE: FILM RED! With this one, something intriguing is occurring. Uta-chan is adored by every member of the film’s production team. However, it’s not like the film has yet been finished. Anyway, sooner or later, I’m sure you’ll all experience the same emotions! Please be excited about it! — Eiichiro Oda, through Twitter, @WSJ manga.

RELEASED BEHIND-THE-SCENES VIDEO FROM THE NETFLIX SET

Having Eiichiro Oda on the set for the One Piece Netflix live-action series during this one-month hiatus would undoubtedly be beneficial, but he won’t have to worry about the set.

The upcoming One Piece adaptation debuted six new cast members on Day One of Netflix’s recent Geeked Week event, along with a behind-the-scenes look at the sets being constructed in South Africa.

The six new cast members are Craig Fairbress as Chef Zeff, Steven Ward as Mihawk, Langley Kirkwood as Captain Morgan, Alexander Maniatis as Klahadore, Celeste Loots as Kaya, and Chiomo Umuela as Nojiko.

“Oda’s world is really special. It has just been such an experience to see everything in person and be able to touch it. Our employees in South Africa are outstanding. Since each set requires a lot of time and care due to the level of detail involved, it has been really exciting to watch them bring Oda’s universe to life. via YouTube: One Piece: Set Sneak Peak.
