NDLEA Arrests 666 Suspects In Borno for Drug Trafficking

Between June 2021 and June 2022, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) detained 666 people in Borno for alleged drug trafficking.

According to Icha, the agency apprehended 561 suspects in 2021, 553 males and eight females, and 113 people in the first quarter of 2022 for various narcotics offenses.

Sowore is the winner of the AAC Presidential Ticket

Omoyele Sowore, publisher of the Sahara Reporters, has been re-nominated as the African Action Congress’s (AAC) presidential candidate for the 2023 general election.
At the party’s national conference in Abuja on Thursday, delegates elected the publisher as its flag bearer.

The Federal Government has announced Monday, June 13 as a public holiday in honor of Nigeria’s Democracy Day, which falls on June 12.
In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr M. L. Shuaib Belgore, on Thursday, the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, stated as much.

He thanked Nigerians and urged all citizens to back the current administration in its efforts to make the country safer, more united, and wealthy.
