Jen Shah’s arrest sparked a firestorm of controversy as her Real Housewives of Salt Lake City co-star Meredith Marks was accused of being involved in the case.
During Season 2 of RHOSLC, Jen was arrested for her alleged involvement in a nationwide telemarketing fraud scam. When the women found out what had happened to Jen, they were on a cast vacation to Vail, Colorado. (The arrest occurred in March 2021, however the episode aired in November 2021 on RHOSLC.)
On RHOSLC, the JXA Fashion owner’s co-stars had talked about her arrest a lot. However, the talk quickly shifted to Meredith, who has had multiple run-ins with Jen over the years. However, the CEO of the Meredith Marks store shared if the claims are true.

Whitney Rose accused Meredith of calling officials in the aim of getting Jen arrested in a January 2022 episode of RHOSLC while the ladies were in Zion. Meredith and Mary Cosby made the allegation after declining to travel in the group’s van while in Zion (just as they had declined to travel in the group’s van during the Vail trip).
“It appears like you may have had something to do with Jen being indicted,” Whitney said Meredith after noticing the pattern.
Jen also stepped in and immediately asked Meredith if she had hired a private investigator prior to being detained.
Meredith flatly denied any involvement in her co-detention, star’s describing Jen and Whitney’s assertions as “a filthy charge.”
Meredith, on the other hand, told E! News that the myth may have been encouraged by her legal background.
“When asked about the allegation of her supposed involvement in Jen’s arrest, she told E! News in 2021, “I’m not a practising lawyer; I never have been a practising lawyer, but I am a registered lawyer, and I do have the background and the schooling.” “So I assume my legal education led people to believe that I knew more about this problem than they did or than the general public did, in some ways.”
She went on to say, “I don’t really know.” “However, these things take time to develop, and this was a federal inquiry.” It’s not something that happens over night; everything with this takes a long time. I guess you’ll have to wait and see what happens. I can state unequivocally that I had nothing to do with Jen’s arrest.”

Meredith studied business at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management when she was a law student there. She opened a health club and worked as a real estate agent after graduation. Meredith, on the other hand, changed occupations after being “aggressively mugged” while living in Chicago with her family. She eventually gave up her fitness club and real estate plans to pursue her passion for jewellery.
Meredith’s passion for jewellery began when she was a child, but she opened her online boutique in the midst of the recession in 2009. Since then, celebrities such as Rihanna, Charlize Theron, and Courteney Cox have visited the Meredith Marks Store.
On RHOSLC, the store has also been a source of discussion. Meredith stated in Season 2 that one of Jen’s employees had taken something from her store. Meredith declared, “That’s not my buddy,” after the owner of Shah Beauty decided not to terminate the employee.
