Jim Castillo Phillips works for KSDK 5 On Your Side in St. Louis, Missouri, and is a qualified broadcast meteorologist in the United States. In 2015, he left KTLA to married and move to northern Indiana to work as a commercial real estate broker.

Castillo worked as an intern at KOMU, an NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri. As a weather anchor and host of a weekly exercise show, he eventually obtained his first on-air job.
Castillo began his career as a storm chaser in the Midwest and Texas, earning a storm chasing card from the National Weather Service.
He was the first meteorologist on “Good Day Philadelphia” at WTXF, a Fox Network station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also did man-on-the-street interviews and delivered parts.
