Jacqueline Fernandez Upcoming Films: Jacqueline Fernandez, who is originally from Sri Lanka but now resides in India, began her career as a model there after receiving numerous offers each year. Despite the fact that she was cast in more glamourous roles than performance-oriented films, she has been working on various projects thanks to the passion that she has generated among the Indian audience. Her most recent films, Bachchan Pandey and Attack, were both considered to be below average pictures and did not perform as well at the box office as was anticipated.

 

Early life Of Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez was reared in a family that included members from a number of different cultural backgrounds. She was born on August 11, 1985, in Manama, Bahrain,. Her father, Elroy Fernandez, is a Burgher from Sri Lanka, while her mother, Kim, has Malaysian and Canadian ancestry. She was born in Canada.  Her maternal grandfather was born in Canada, and her great-grandparents hailed from the Indian state of Goa. Her father, who was a musician in Sri Lanka, relocated to Bahrain in the 1980s in order to escape the turmoil between the Sinhalese and the Tamils. It was in Bahrain that he met her mother, who was working as an air hostess at the time.  She is the youngest of four children, having two older brothers and one older sister who came before her. After attending the Sacred Heart School in Bahrain for her elementary and secondary education, she went on to study mass communication at the University of Sydney in Australia.  After completing her education, she appeared on a few television programmes in Sri Lanka.She also attended the Berlitz school of languages, where she learnt Spanish and improved both her French and her Arabic language skills.

She studied for a while at the John School of Acting and came away with some acting experience. Despite the fact that she worked as a television reporter, she did accept offers in the modeling industry that came as a direct result of the success she had in beauty pageants. She was crowned the winner of the Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant in 2006, and she went on to represent Sri Lanka at the Miss Universe 2006 pageant, which was held in Los Angeles that same year.  In an interview in 2015, Fernandez referred to the modeling industry as “a excellent training ground” and stated that “it is a medium that is about shedding your inhibitions, knowing your body, and confidence.In 2006, she made an appearance in the music video for the song “O Sathi,” which was performed by the musical combo Bathiya and Santhush in collaboration with the young female singer Umaria Sinhawansa.

2009–2013: The beginning of the acting profession and the beginning of its breakthrough
In 2009, Fernandez took part in a modeling project that took her to India. She made her acting debut in the 2009 fantasy film Aladin, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Her audition was a success. She took on the part of Riteish Deshmukh’s love interest, which was modeled after the one performed by Princess Jasmine in the film.  and Rajeev Masand from CNN-IBN thought that she was “pleasant on the eyes and appears confident but has precious little to do.She was honored with the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female, despite the fact that the movie was a critical and financial bomb.

In the 2010 film Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, which was a science fiction romantic comedy, Fernandez played Deshmukh’s opposite character. She was cast in the role of a girl from Venus who traveled to Earth in the hopes of finding love.  Both the movie and Fernandez’s performance were met with negative feedback, as noted by Sukanya Verma of Rediff.com, who wrote: “She makes a fool of herself while gamely imitating the actions of movie stars, such as Sridevi’s Naagin dance, Mithun Chakravarthy’s Disco Dancer moves, and Big B’s violent headshake in Hum. She does this because she enjoys the challenge. If only Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai wasn’t so set on transforming her into a love-obsessed Barbie, then perhaps Her Tara would be worth keeping. Anupama Chopra, another critic, called Fernandez “a pin-prick on a balloon” in reference to her criticisms.  In the latter part of that same year, she had a cameo in the song “Dhanno” that was used in Sajid Khan’s comedy Housefull.
Murder 2, the suspense film directed by Mahesh Bhatt, was Fernandez’s first financial hit and a defining moment in her professional life.

She plays the part of Priya, a solitary model who is involved in an ambiguous romance with Arjun Bhagwat (played by Emraan Hashmi). The audacity and sexual allure that Fernandez exhibited in the movie earned her a lot of attention, and her performance earned the plaudits as well.  In an article for The Times of India, Gaurav Malini referred to her as “tastefully alluring,” but also mentioned that her relationship with Hashmi was “literally half-baked.”  The next year, Fernandez made an appearance in the cast of the ensemble comedy Housefull 2, which also starred Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, and Asin. It grossed a total of 1.86 billion rupees, which is equivalent to approximately 23 million dollars in the United States, making it one of the highest grossing projects to come out of India during that year. The majority of the comments that were made about Fernandez’s performance were critical. Her appearance was lauded by Gaurav Malini, however NDTV referred to her as a “blathering bimbo” who “find[s] no pleasure in [her part]. In spite of the critical backlash, Fernandez’s performance earned her a nomination for the 14th Annual IIFA Awards in the category of Best Supporting Actress.

She competed in the Miss Universe pageant in 2006 after she was crowned the winner of the Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe 2006 competition in March of that same year. After claiming the crown of Miss Sri Lanka in 2006, she quickly made her way into the world of television, where she is now the host of a show called Lanka Business Report.

She had a modeling contract that took her to Mumbai, and there she was cast in the Bollywood film Aladin (2009). She appeared in the film alongside renowned Indian actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, and Riteish Deshmukh, and Sujoy Ghosh was the director of the film. Because of the success of her previous film, she was chosen to play the role of an extraterrestrial being who comes to Earth in search of love in Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai (2010), which was Milap Zaveri’s directorial debut. Her leading guy was Riteish Deshmukh, who also appeared in her first film with her. The film’s director believed that she would be a good fit for the role of Farah Khan, and as a result, he advised that she try out for the role. Housefull (2010) was directed by Farah Khan’s younger brother, Sajid Khan, and it featured one of her cameo appearances in the film (in a song).

Fernandez has been a part of a number of different concert tours as well as televised award ceremonies. In 2013, she appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Madhuri Dixit at the Temptations Reloaded event in Auckland, Perth, and Sydney respectively.  During the following year, she also participated in the live talent show “Got Talent World Stage Live” alongside Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Varun Dhawan.In July of 2014, Fernandez opened a restaurant in Colombo called Kaema Sutra, which specializes in modern versions of traditional Sri Lankan dishes. Dharshan Munidasa was the head chef at the establishment.  In July of 2018, Fernandez collaborated with a friend to launch her activewear clothing line, Just F. alleged instance of money laundering

Money Laundering Of Jacqueline Fernandez

Fernandez has been the subject of an investigation into a case of money laundering involving 200 crore since the month of December 2021. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is in charge of the investigation that is currently being carried out, and on December 9, 2021, they questioned Fernandez about the case for a total of ten hours.  Fernandez’s request to have the Lookout Circular (LOC) that was issued against her in the case and prevents her from traveling outside of India downgraded was denied by the ED on the 22nd of December.

It has been decided not to include Fernandez in the upcoming film The Ghost, which will be starring Nagarjuna. It is believed that the money laundering investigation led to the cast member’s dismissal from their role in the movie.

The Enforcement Directorate charged Jacqueline Fernandez with money laundering on the 17th of August, 2022, in connection with the same case that involved Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
