What Happened to Steven Stayner’s Father, Del Stayner, After He Died?
Steven Stayner’s father, Delbert Stayner, suffered greatly as a result of his son’s abduction, as did the rest of the Stayner family.
The same was true for Del in the aftermath of Steven’s disappearance, who suffered from worry and suicidal thoughts.
At Cary’s Steven’s brother’s trial, he, like Kay, begged with the jury not to sentence him to death, but the jury rejected his plea. A different conclusion was reached by the jury, on the other hand.
He also worked at a number of sawmills after serving in the military, before transitioning into the canning sector in the late 1950s. In 1995, he left a canning company in Atwater, California, where he had worked.
Del Stayner Today: Is He Alive or Is He Dead?
In the early morning hours of April 9, 2013, Del, Steven’s father, passed away at his home in Winton, California. He died at the age of 79, and, as far as we can tell, the cause of his death has not been made public by his family.
Following the tragedy in the family, Steven Stayner’s mother, Kay, has resolved to live a more sedate existence.
According to what we’ve learned so far, Kay appears to spend her post-retirement years in California with her grandchildren and other family members.
Del Stayner’s Family: A Look at the Stayners
Merced, California, was a sleepy agricultural town nestled beneath the shadow of Yosemite National Park, and Del Stayner and his family lived on Betty Street, a lower-middle-class area in the tranquil agricultural town.
It was said by the Cinemaholic that their family in the 1970s consisted of Cary and Steven Stayner along with their three sisters as well as their parents Kay and Delbert Stayner.
In spite of the fact that they were around four years apart in age, with Cary being the oldest of the five siblings, the two brothers appeared to be exceptionally close.
However, after Steven was stolen by paedophile Kenneth Parnell in 1972, the Stayners are said to have started mistreating their other children.
Furthermore, according to his 2002 statement, once Steven unexpectedly left, he got consumed with the task of locating him, neglecting his four other children, particularly Cary, in the course of the investigation. Delbert even referred to Steven as his “real son” and pushed the other out of the way.
