In a statement, the Cook County Medical Examiner, Dr. Edmund Donoghue, said that a narrowing of the arteries that supply the heart muscle was a major cause of his death.
In both of Farley’s lungs, there was swelling and congestion, which is a sign of being high on opiates, according to the autopsy report. Also, there was a change in the liver that is common in people who drink a lot. Likewise, after his passing, newspapers reported that he was seen binge drinking.
