Natalia Dyer, from Stranger Things, made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’s episode 181 of Season 9 on August 12. Megan Thee Stallion served as the show’s guest presenter. The actress discussed the show’s love triangle with her character Nancy Wheeler in the episode.
Later, when host Jimmy Fallon showed a photo of the actress from the film’s 2009 red carpet premiere, Dyer also discussed her Hollywood debut with 2009’s Hannah Montana: The Movie. Dyer continued by saying that Stranger Things wasn’t her first significant acting role.

I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. That’s right, it wasn’t a very active film town back then. Then this, you know, tremendous production, started to move through. It was significant. One of the two children of a journalist named Oswald Granger was represented in the movie by 14-year-old Natalia Dyer as Clarissa Granger (played by Peter Gunn). The journalist was the main enemy of the film since he tried to discover Miley Stewart’s true identity as Hannah Montana (portrayed by Miley Cyrus).
The twin sister of Natalie Dyer’s character in Hannah Montana: The Movie and they both adored the fictitious singer. In 2020, the actress discussed her character in more detail with PEOPLE Magazine. She uttered:
I’m not sure how much of a direct effect that has on my popularity. I don’t think I really really discussed a lot of the things I was doing in school. Simply put, that is what occurred.
The 27-year-old Nashville native revealed to Cosmopolitan earlier in May that she felt she could have done a better job in the movie with her British accent. She uttered:
It was rather bizarre but extremely exhilarating. I took on the role of a Briton. Although I don’t believe I performed the accent well, I’m not sure whether I can do a decent British accent at this point. My mother was working on the set when I was small, so it was all very fresh to me.
Natalia Dyer, however, gained the essential expertise from the Hannah Montana movie to play Whitney Brown in The Greening of Whitney Brown in 2011. Dyer was cast in independent movies including 2013’s Don’t Let Me Go and 2014’s After Darkness after making brief appearances in similar movies. She then went on to play Nancy Wheeler in Stranger Things, which is still her most well-known performance.
