Netflix now has Never Have I Ever, Season 3 available for watching. The Mindy Kaling sitcom is back with a bang for another episode that will dive further into the lives of perplexed American Indian adolescent Devi after a turbulent second season.

Devi attempts to get through high school as the unpopular nerdy child who is eager to enjoy the standard high school experience that every teenager hopes for while constantly under the watchful eye of her incredibly strict and controlling mother, Nalini. The third season of Never Have I Ever opened with Paxton and Devi announcing their engagement. What surprises are in store for us in the second episode?

In episode 2 of Never Have I Ever season 3 Devi discovers the troll.

Never Have I Ever’s first episode included an unidentified texter warning Devi about Paxton. Despite the fact that there are many trolls in the social media realm, this one seems genuine. After initially being dubious, Devi in Episode 2 quickly comes to Paxton’s defense after the troll warns her that he is not who she thinks he is.

Paxton encourages Devi to let it go when he learns about the anonymous texter because he receives troll texts about Devi as well but chooses to ignore them. Devi is unable to go past this though. Devi sets off on a quest to identify the troll with the aid of her pals and Lady Whistle Boy. Devi suddenly learns that the texter was Haley, a girl from her orchestra group, after they reduce the search to the four women Paxton had hookups with.

Haley confesses that Paxton ghosted her after they hooked up when Devi questions her about it. Devi is concerned about this and brings it up to Paxton, who, despite being combative at first, admits to being rude. He apologises to Haley after being persuaded to do so by Devi. A little too quickly for Devi’s taste, the couple reconciled, and she soon starts to feel uneasy.

In other news, Nirmala is still upset that Prashant was exposed by her marriage-phobic granddaughter Kamala. She makes the decision to host a mixer for her and invites every eligible Indian bachelor she is aware of. While evading suitors, an unexpected visitor shows up, which makes Kamala happy to see. Manish, Devi’s instructor, is who it is after all.

Nirmala, however, is unimpressed with Manish because he was alienated from his Indian heritage, and she demands that her granddaughter pick someone from the people she has invited. At Kamala’s gathering, Nalini makes a new buddy as well. Before Nalini learned that Rhyah was a nutritionist who worked in the wellness industry, she and Nirmala’s guest Rhyah seemed to get along well.

Ben makes the decision to attend Anessa’s soccer game, but he is preoccupied with texting Devi and misses his girlfriend’s game-tying goal. When he compliments her in a generic way while Fabiola is gushing over Anessa’s excellent play, Anessa realizes this and becomes angry with him. Anessa kisses Fabiola when overcome with emotion, shocking her.
