In August 2022, four Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movies will be released.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, its sister channel, and Hallmark Channel are well-known for their uplifting, happily-ever-after romantic comedies. The two channels will be releasing a few original love film premieres throughout the month of August as part of their yearly “Fall into Love” programming celebration.

These upcoming Hallmark Movies & Mysteries releases will keep you occupied if you like to lose yourself in emotional love tales. Check out this list of the movies scheduled for network release.

1) Unthinkably Good Things is one of five upcoming films on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries in August.

This movie, which was directed by Terri J. Vaughn and debuted in July 2021 under the Mahogany label of the business. The label will concentrate on sharing stories of love and human connection through the prism of Black culture and is named after the company’s popular line of Black greeting cards.

Along with Lance Gross, Jermaine Love, and Luca Seta, the movie also has Karen Pittman, Joyful Drake, and Erica Ash in prominent roles.

The movie narrates the tale of Allison, who is portrayed by Pittman, who, after coming to a crossroads in both her personal and professional life, requires the love and support of her two best friends, Melina and Reesa, who are portrayed by Drake and Ash, respectively. Each of them makes life-altering decisions after their reunion in Tuscany prompts them to reevaluate the health of their relationships and personal lives.

2) August 7 sees the release of Big Sky River

The movie, which was directed by Peter Benson, is an adaptation of the same-titled book by Linda Lael Miller. Actors Emmanuelle Vaugier from One Tree Hill and Kavan Smith from The Perfect Bride play the key parts in the movie.

Tara Kendall (played by Vaugier) chooses to take a break from her ex-husband and the city of New York after their contentious divorce and rents a summer home in Parable, Montana, the small town she grew up loving. She eventually makes friends with Sheriff Boone Taylor, who lives next door and is portrayed by Smith. He has recently started to come to terms with losing the love of his life. The movie demonstrates how these two people develop a romantic relationship over time.

3) The Journey Ahead August 14 release

Holly Robinson Peete from 21 Jump Street and Kaylee Bryant from American Horror Story play the key characters in the movie, which was directed by Linda-Lisa Hayter.

Robinson Peete portrays Madeline, an isolated Hollywood actress with a history of misfortune. She pays Bryant’s character Sarah, a young wilderness specialist, to take her to an emergency medical appointment in New York City. The two women develop a friendship along the way and discover how to bravely deal with their personal challenges.

4) August 21 marks the release of Groundswell.

The movie, which is helmed by Lee Friedlander, is based on Katie Lee Biegel’s first book of the same name. Starring in the movie are Katie Lee Biegel, Ektor Rivera, and Mean Girls actress Lacey Chabert.

Emma, a chef from Atlanta who travels to Hawaii following a personal and professional setback, is portrayed by Chabert. There, she runs across Ben, a charming and secretive surf instructor played by Rivera, who starts teaching her how to surf so she can get her life back on track.
