Holly Marie Clouse, a missing kid whose parents were killed, has been discovered alive after more than 40 years.

According to the Texas Attorney General’s office, Holly Marie Clouse, who went missing as a baby in 1980, was recovered alive on Thursday, June 9. Clouse’s parents were murdered in 1980 and dumped in the Houston woods, but she was just recovered alive and well.

In a news statement, Attorney General Ken Paxton said, “My office’s newly formed Cold Case and Missing Persons Unit has done outstanding work, and I am tremendously proud of them. My agency worked tirelessly across state borders to solve the puzzle of Holly’s disappearance. Our efforts to find her and reconcile her with her biological family were successful.

‘While playing with her scooter,’ a six-year-old child went missing overnight and was recovered safe.

Clouse, now 42, and her parents Tina, 17, and Harold Dean Clouse Jr., 21, vanished in Texas after relocating from Florida in 1980. The bodies of a murdered couple were discovered in a forested area of Houston in 1981, but their identities were unknown until genetic genealogy was used to identify the bodies in 2021. Clouse, on the other hand, was still missing and the cause of her disappearance was unknown.

According to the Texas Attorney General’s office, Clouse, who now lives in Oklahoma, was informed of her biological parents’ names and participated in a video conference with them.

Her biological paternal grandmother, Donna Casasanta, stated she was discovered on her departed son’s birthday and described the news as “a birthday surprise from heaven.” “I’ve been praying for answers for more than 40 years, and the Lord has revealed some of it… we’ve discovered Holly,” Casasanta said.

Clouse’s aunt Sherry Linn Green said in the announcement, “After finally being able to reconcile with Holly, I dreamed about her and my sister, Tina last night.” “In my dream, Tina was rolling around on the floor, laughing and playing with Holly, like I had seen them do many times before when they stayed with me before leaving to Texas.”

“Tina, I suppose, is finally at ease now that Holly is reunited with her family. I’m pleased to learn Holly is alive and well, and that she was well cared for, but I’m also broken up by it all. Her life depended on that baby “Green came to a conclusion.

The case, however, still has a lot of unsolved questions. For example, detectives have not explained how they found Holly or how she may have survived her parents’ deaths. Furthermore, officials have stayed mute on the circumstances behind Holly’s parents’ killings, Tina and Dean.
