Ghislaine Maxwell, a former British socialite and convicted sex trafficker, received a 20-year prison term for her assistance in the torture of young girls by convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Maxwell’s punishment should “send a message that individuals who collaborate with sexual predators will be held responsible for their important role in these crimes,” according to the prosecution’s request that Nathan sentence her to at least 30 and maybe as many as 55 years in prison.
